unfortunately, due to a knee-injury and on top thick knees as my bodystructure, cannot sit in Lotus of Half-Lotus - but would be glad to be able to do so. Do lots of streching, and healing exercise...... lets see the effect....
Hello Muho Sensei 🙏 In my practice of Tibetan Buddhism we often hear or use the words "appearance-emptiness" in describing the true nature of all phenomena. My question here is this.. Does the singlar term (idea or principle) of "interdependence" not encompass or express the idea of "form is emptiness, emptiness is form" all at once? In other words, can we use this single principle of "interdependence" to explain how "form is empty" AND "emptiness is form?" I propose this because if all appearances are "empty" BECAUSE they are **interdependently appearing** and can ONLY appear due to their causes & conditions, then it seems to naturally follow that their interdependence is the basis or "cause" of their appearing. And so when we say "interdependence" it seems to express both the absolute (emptiness) AND the relative (appearance) at once does it not? Gassho 🙏
For me, interdependence is only one side of the coin, i.e. the relative truth. Absolute truth is different from interdependence. It is the now-ness of the Now, so to speak, not the interdependence of all points in time (which would be the relative truth).
Interesting! Thanks for sharing. I was definitely taught a chair was OK … as a last resort! 😊
Thanks for watching!
Excellent information. Thank you for sharing.
Gassho!
Glad it was helpful!
