    In my country it was common to use the old Crescents with yellow plastic material handlers. And the Channnelock blue were the top, I haven't seen them anymore since a while.

      @@AddictedtoTools yes, I work on building maintenance, mainly electrical duties. Also work in residential and commercial construction. I'm in Costa Rica. But it is kind of difficult to get some good tools in here. If I want some tool from a decent brand, I need to import it, and pay a ridiculously high amount in taxes. But I really love to work with good equipment. I've always thought that a good piece of tool makes half of the job for you, besides the results are better and more professional.

      Cheers for the reply. Great to hear that you’re in the industry. And I definitely agree. Quality tools can be beneficial with time and longevity of the tools themselves. It’s hard though when you have to import the tools. I have to pay extra being in Australia also. But it’s worth the money in the end. Thanks and keep up the good work.

    I've always wanted to give knipex a go. I bought high leverage side cutters, multifunction pliers which are the BEST replacement for long nose, and then the pliers as you have. I'm really struggling to strip cable with them compared to channel lock and Marvel's, though they cut pretty nicely.

    I have had trouble with channellocks jamming up wont use them any more .
    The knipex are great.

    I thought a lot of Aussies used the Marvel pliers. Cable shear and linesman in one.
    Would love to try one.

      Marvel sheer and channel lock pliers are equally the most popular in Australia

      I’ve never actually owned any, but I’ve used them a few times over the years. I definitely rate them. I’ve been meaning to grab a pair of marvels to try full time. Wiha have also just brought out a pair which I wouldn’t mind using. What’s your thoughts on them?

      @@AddictedtoTools my boss told me apparently their too sharp to strip 1.5 and 2.5? And that I should change to normal combination pliers???

    • @AddictedtoTools
      @AddictedtoTools  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’ve used some for a bit now and they can be used to strip cabling but they are definitely sharp. Some people even blunten them to make it easier. I find pinch cut a lot easier. Comes down to your own preference and practice

    I got some Wiha, Best pliers Ive had, beats; Kliens. Don't bother with short handles get 200.mm/ 8" at least. With your channel lock, take off the plastic, clean the metal and glue handles on with Araldite super strength. Don't by new pliers and cut a live wire, that pisses you off..

      I like the wiha pliers. A little on the large size for me though.

    Hey Matt, thanks for doing the video.
    Yeah it drives me crazy when my handle slides off like that.
    I didn't actually realise that it doesn't happen on all pliers. I think I might go out and get a set of the better ones now that I've seen how much better they are.
    Well maybe I'll wait for a sale hahahha
