She's definetely in a big era artistically and headlining plenty of festivals, but vocally I don't know whats going on at some points, for example this new habit she has of using West Coast as some sort of interlude and not sing the verses (it's a miracle she sang the chorus this time), she does similar things skipping parts of new songs, including new pre-recorded vocals and her own live vocals getting lost in the backtrack or cutting songs in half without their bridges (Without You, Ride, Born To Die, A&W), I know she can deliver much more, like she did in past tours.
we’ve been complaining about it for years and it’s actually getting worse tour by tour. the BTD and paradise tours had the loud dramatic and unrestrained chaotic vocals that we really liked. the endless summer tour was an era with the most accurate and angelic vocals. for the festival tour following that, we had the two dancers and backing vocals being new parts of the performance, and that was when the performances have got more lazy. shes started skipping lines of Off to the Races since LA to the Moon tour and was literally not singing at all when OTTR was playing during the nfr tour. the iconic bridge of Ride hasn’t been heard since the mid LA to the Moon era and her vocals have become more and more quiet since that as well due to the over reliance on the backing vocals and probably the fact she thought they sounded good. i watched her most updated live performance videos every day before 2018 cuz i really did enjoy hearing Lana doing different weird and experimental vocal runs depending on her mood on different tour dates but now we can barely hear her voice in these videos. i guess she still has the passion to be on stage but has really got weak at having the power to deliver vocals. I used to look forward to her performing new songs live but I’d rather not listen to that if she’s not doing it properly
