so dominant chords can kinda go anywhere, sort of. This is at least a fun theoretical rabbit hole to explore based on 3 different appearances of diminished chords in a lot of music. This is old news for 19th century composers and jazz improvisers, but it still kind of blows my mind and feels like a lifetime of exploration could go into this!
