DULCE, 23, from Houston, Texas, loves her dark aesthetic that she describes is a "mixture of trad goth and romantic goth". Dulce mainly takes inspiration from 80's goth, she says her teased hair is the "main character" to her style. However, being a goth combined with becoming a young mom, this has led to a lot of judgement thrown her way. Dulce told Transformed: "I get criticised a lot already for being a young mom so being a goth and a young mom, I get at least every day one comment on my socials of 'I feel bad for your kids'". For one day only, with the help of makeup artist Hope, Dulce with be ditching the black and embrace colour to her aesthetic by transforming into a '90's glamour girl'! Dulce will be surprising her sister and her son with the new look - Will Dulce love the new look? Or will she be counting down the minutes til she can return to being the "queen of darkness"?

I believe that some people need wigs for the show, but she had long enough hair to pull off a natural look, and she had a natural brown, and she didn't need caked on makeup. It's infuriating, because some of these looks will turn people off of the natural wholesome look.
That being said, I appreciate the effort of the artists.
Also, I feel like the show is either picking on goth women, or trying to reinforce their goth looks. I'd love to see more kinds of transformations. Would cowgirls ever enjoy dressing more feminine? What about the other way?
I freaked out as a kid crying when my dad just shaved his mustache off and I didn't recognize him. I can't imagine the poor kid's thoughts haha

That lady is simply gorgeous. I love the goth style too. Im 52 so I witnessed the massive 80's trend for goth style makeup and back combed hair. Always loved goth girls, especially black lipstick and heavy eye liner.

“Normal for me was a phase” is SO real I remember going through my “normal phase” to try and get friends and then I realized I was miserable so I embraced the emo who I am and have always been!

BTW i do love her goth look,i had a goth phase[different type of goth glam goth myself in my 20s(from 2008 till 2015)hahahah],
and i was raised in a Roman Catholic Household,similar to Dulce.

Some goths wear the cross upside down or other imagery that is sacrilegious to Christians.
For some reason, Christians think that anything that doesn't fit their CULTURAL norms goes against their religious beliefs. And their beliefs are so open to interpretation, like what does dressing modestly even mean? Because what was considered modest has changed drastically from ancient times to now.
When we are young, we are punk, goth, or whatever makes us stand out. As we age those things fall to the wayside and we care no more about punk or goth and we care more about “normal”. This will be you as well one day.
Unfortunately not everyone grows out of it... I know a lot of young parents that are still like that but have kids. And they are not very socially skilled....

I think the idea and concept of this show is AMAZING!! I do hope that as this channel begins to pick up steam that you can have different clothing and wig companies soon will sponsor episodes. That’s a great win for both parties. You already have AMAZING makeup artists!! I love that you go into these peoples real homes and it’s very real in that aspect. A good photographer will look over all the small details before filming the reveals. As a professional photographer, I notice these little cringe details. I really LOVE this channel for the concept. Unfortunately, I can just tell that your just starting and learning as you go. The clothing stylist needs to work in person and one on one with each client. They will also catch these little things that are a little cringe moments.

She's a really beautiful young lady and looks so pretty either way; however, I really love her Goth style and think she should do what makes her happy. I know where she's coming from having grown up in a strict Christian home. I didn't become Goth myself until I got married, and my husband wasn't too happy being a strict Christian himself. Now that I'm divorced for many years, his family will still ask my son if I'm still wearing all black. Why do people judge a color? black is just a color and Goth isn't evil if you really know what it's about, you would understand.
I was just thinking about the same thing. I'm a christian myself and it makes no sense to me someone use that as an excuse to dislike goth culture, Jesus would have absolutely nothing against her look (just like her kid ❤).

I didn't like the wig either, especially that color on her. Wish they'd given her some blush or bronzer on her face. It was such a pale dull look.
It's the BANGS for me!☺️ They were standing out like a sore thumb, not blended into the "hair" at all.. let's be honest the wigs on this show are atrocious! 95% of the people being Transformed ,only a handful of the artists actually do something to the hair. I'm just saying if you're gonna use a crappy wig, at least take the time to make it look good! You want them to look their BEST! 🥴

I'm amused that Dulce's look somehow goes against her sister's Christian beliefs when Christian goths exist. I should know, being one myself. We look like regular goths, we just don't do the pentagrams, upside down crosses (unless we're acknowledging St.Peter), or other pagan/Satanic decor/jewelry. The other major difference is that we wear our crosses as declarations, not decorations.
She looks beautiful in either respect, but I prefer this girl's usual look because it's more 'her'. The "normal" look is boring.

I find it hard to believe that this kid has never seen his mother without goth makeup. Ditto for the woman herself -- on all the goth, fantasy, etc. makeovers, the model is always like, "I don't even recognize myself!" How is it possible they haven't seen themselves without the makeup they put on every morning? LOL.

I am a Christian. I think Dulce’s Trad-Goth look is great. She is a very beautiful young woman. I don’t like the transformed look. I don’t think the make-up chosen matches her face and style. Even she said she looked like Lady GaGa who is know for extreme make-up choices. I think the wig was not a nice wig and the styling of her clothes was off. I bet Dulce could have done a better transformation on her own. I like Dulce’s Trad-Goth style because she keeps her look still very feminine and she is very skilled in how she puts it all together.
I think the more natural makeup definetly suits her better but maybe with dark hair and dark clothes. Either way very pretty !
I wish they would do a style halfway between that embraces portions of goth and still holds the goth space without as an extreme of a look. They always go so far preppy that I get why they wouldn't embrace any change.

The thing I like the most about these transformations is seeing what these girls' faces and features look like without the goth makeup hiding them. She looks so pretty! She should wear her makeup more natural all the time because she has a nice face. The goth makeup is too much and you can't see her

No it doesn’t lol, but neither does the Bible say “thou shalt accept styles/aesthetics with satanic or occult symbolism.” But it also doesn’t say “thou shall not dress goth.” You can like a style but not represent the symbolism behind it. She’s just saying that it’s not her thing because it’s known for the occult representation.
