I just replaced the HDD of my late 2009 iMac 21,5" with an SDD drive (with a 2,5" to 3,5" SATA adapter) using these instructions! I bought the OWC thermal sensor from Amazon (Germany). Thank you!

Why you didn’t just transplant the temperature sensor cable to the new hard drive?

If I replace drive with another Seagate Barracuda drive can i just swap the sensor or do i need to buy the adaptor kit?

Is the Sata from the DVD the same of the Sata of HDD? Because I've installed a SSD in DVD place, but the Write and Read speed are slow...(480 is the speed correct) but, my SSD installed at the DVD place, is marking just 240 speed of write... Is The Sata from my Imac 2009 old? My Imac 2009 will just operate with a half of speed because of the SATA?

I am having difficulties re=attaching the top left cable.

Attach the temperature sensor board on an SSD directly to the left of the SATA connector? And this is all that's needed to regulate fan speed?

It is the vertical sync Riven I am having trouble attaching.

I apologize, which part of the video are you specifically referring to? Could you be more descriptive about what you are having issues attaching?

Here is a link to the corresponding component: eshop.macsales.com/item/OWC/DIDIMACHDD12/#includes, this comes as part of the sensor kit. Hope this helps.

@@poweredbyowc yes bat I have that sensor for ssd upgrade. I need only that cable

We only sell them together--cable with sensor. We do not recommend combining the wire with another separate sensor.

I was told by macsales that I did not need the adaptor kit for my iMac because it already has a seagate drive. Is this incorrect?

MacSales. com someone should notify your sales reps of that then, because I have already ordered my drive without it...dang it!
