This is 100% not a criticism, but you can also tell they're fully live because of the slight detunes that are different from performance to performance between each performer. There are groups that records breaths into their live recordings but its so hard to emulate the natural way your voice detunes and changes timbre/texture/power from day to day. a lot of groups sound like live vocals until you get like 5 or 6 performances in and you realize each one sounds exactly the same down to the intensity of the breath through the mic; that's not really how voices work.

You see how you can tell the difference between when mics are on and a pre-recorded vocal. You can actually hear their breathing and annunciation on each word matching the movement of the body. Watching XG is a good example of live vocals if you ever get confused.
Nobody can beat XG's performance. The rappers ate with their wordplay and bars, the vocals delivers excellent harmony and the choreo goes hard with difficult steps and we're having live vocals. XG is the best!
With how much energy and intensity they're going at it at the shows, you would think they're not literally in the middle of a world tour. They deserve at least one win!!

This is what impresses me with XG, when most groups get comfortable in the choreo they get lazy, take shortcuts, get sloppy... when XG gets comfortable with intricate choreography their moves get sharper; the synchronicity, stage performance and intensity goes up a notch and the confidence boost translates to more powerful raw vocals! These girls are never satisfied with a good performance and take each opportunity to perform (regardless of studio conditions or limitations) to improve and strive beyond perfection. @@antinapay I'm not going to name groups since I don't want to start any fan wars but you don't have to take my word for it... even Tiffany from Girls Generation made the same observation about today's idols. Also, its important to remember that saying a group is the best or that their talent is undeniable does not diminish other group's effort or talent. It's like when people say Michael Jordan is the best basketball player ever doesn't mean all other players don't practice or have no talent.
Even on Weekly Idol they killed it and you could tell that Eunkwang and Mi Joo were like shocked for real by how good XG was when they did the several dance challenges.
The way this choreography is Hard is require a lot of staminia to get up and sing just because is a ground base choreography, and my girls did so good to pull out the air to sound audible, Maya did a good job cus her rap is more fast. Congrats to them all that's raw talent.
Every other group has nice face shots or group shots and here we have their bums, XG views are as organic as it gets, no clickbaiting here, we are here for the talent! But honestly, imagine how many views they would get if they used mother Chisa as the thumbnail with that hair style.
I love it when we can hear they were singing live LIVE. We can hear their breath, there were parts when they lip sync, shaky voice, and off tune but that was literally OKAY bcs they are humans not robots. They even got the mic on when they are rapping and still do the choreo. I would pass out after 15 seconds.
There are a handful of GGs that can do it ... NMIXX, Dreamcatcher ... But these are indeed the rare exceptions.
