These two had such great chemistry. I stumbled upon this quirky film by accident like 20 yrs ago and am so glad I did. I was totally hooked. I can't believe Adrienne Shelly has been gone now for almost 13 years 😢

still haven't find any other movie which took my heart's fragment with it forever. the best, so perfect in dialogue, vibe, shot. made for any lonely person in the world.

Haven't seen this in 25 years. Hits me the same way now---modern urban poetry about love and loss. With the added dimension of the gut-punch loss of Adrienne.

Mathew randomly gut punching detestable characters = awesome. My favorite Hal Hartley film.

Hal Hartely did such an amazing job on this, The Unbelievable Truth and Simple Men, all are such outstanding movies, so well done. I wish more people got to see his early work.

My favorite movie as a 90’s kid. They always played it on Bravo when Bravo use to show independent films. 👌😎

If Joker 2 would have ended like this, I would have been content, happy and satisfied and so would Lady Gaga and Harley Quinn Fans, this was supposed to be who Ms. Quinzel was like in the Film.
    Sincerely, Joaquin Phoenix

Anyone notice the similarity of the end theme with Plainsong by the Cure? Released at about the same time
