I drive an old disco and they are completely gutless so high range is even worse than a Jeep in high range by far. What is his excuse for doing this? There's absolutely zero benefit especially in that thing trust me. First gear high range is way too high. I mean unless he's going to gear swap but even then no point. Amy a driver disco Series 2 and I can lock low-range gears into any gear I want. For example I can put it in third low and it stays in thirdlove from a stop to a start or second Etc so even if he's done gears and he thinks that low range is too low he should still be able to lock it in if the D1 has that like the D2
I will in a disco all the time and there is absolutely no reason to be in high range unless there's a problem with your low range. Unless he doesn't want to admit there's a problem with low-range there's literally no reason to not engage. Plus that tiny little engine hardly has any power so high range is even more difficult for it. I mean what is his claim or lie I should say? LOL
