There's a feature called "Model Items" that pulls your dimensions from your created part. When you change dimensions in the part, it will update in the drawing if you use this feature. I am still learning when/how to use "Model Items".
Great job, Eric. Do you have a video posted where you show how to change the dimension of a part from within a drawing document, forcing the change to the part file in an automated manner?
Ok....i made a part drawing and properly dimensioned it. The problem is I've moved it to "drawing" but it appeared without the dimensions. Do i have to redemension?
No, by default it will be without dimensions. under annotations tab, click model views and then click the entire model in the drop-down liast in the feature manager tree. this will atomatically fetch the dimensions. You can manually put dimensions by clicking on smart dimensions and clicking on where you want to add the dimensions.
Hmm... Not what I'm looking for... Do you know how to make dimension for the thread on something like a screw part? For example, ----- Thread (Matric Die) M16x1.5
In a minute got my question answered. Thank you man.
