Hi, my name is Henry I had a four Cougar car open door but I will not stop the steering lock is on and won’t come off. I’ve tried everything under the book even auto electrician with a diagnostic machine. Cannot find the fault can you help thank you

Can I start this model if the battery on the key has died? where located ignition coil antenna? I disassembled the plastic under the steering column. where it is indicated to the steering consul, he is not there.
Hi I'm having the same issue on my Grand c max and I can do the same as you to start the car... on the short range sensor but I use to be able to leave my key in my pocket and still start the car, now I have to place it near the handbrake, what's the next stage In getting the fobs to work the unlock and lock, also my touch handles dont work either any advice welcome , thanks
The next step is to get a replacement battery/fob (not sure where from) use this current method until its replaced 😊 if you replace the battery it should still be coded to your car and should work. Bear in mind I'm not an expert but hope it helps 👍
My keyless entry would not recognise both keys and when I got in the car manually the warning light about steering problem came on? anyone got any ideas about this one? And one of my lights stays on?

I wish the dealers would tell us this when we buy the car. Had to go on TH-cam to find out how to start an Edge this way.
