    Teslogic Dash is an amazing hardware (Bluetooth CANBUS transmitter) and mobile application for your Tesla Model 3 and Y that is suitable for the missing instrumentation panel. It works on iOS and Android. Installation is demonstrated on my 2022 Model 3 Performance with application running on the iPhone 13 Pro Max (iOS 15.6).
    *Note: I purchased the hardware with my own money, and I am not endorsed/sponsored by Teslogic, Inc.*

    At the time of this video recording, the mobile app is free of charge - you only need to pay for the hardware and have a mobile device to connect to it.
    Car mount and wireless charger behind steering wheel I use (Not affiliate link):

    Works for any MagSafe enabled iPhone / case. Android users will need to use included metallic rings for mounting
    Current software bugs/issues and desired features:
    *v1.0.2 iOS app featured in video, support mentioned they would be addressing them*
    Phones Tested: iPhone 13 Pro Max and 13 Mini running iOS 15.6, Samsung Galaxy S20 FE (Android 11), and Google Pixel 5 (Android 12)
    1) Need a way to manually toggle between dark and light mode of app UI rather than relying on Tesla’s automatic system (manual toggling in Tesla does not trigger UI changes for app).
    2) Google Maps view only works when the vehicle is in motion and the app has no data caching in case of intermittent connection issues.
    3) The speedometer reading is off by 1 mph under the screen that HP is displayed on the right side and the amount of G force/acceleration on the left side in one of the app pages
    4) On main speedometer screen, Energy Saved is stuck at 0.0 and does not change in value. The one on the right, “Cons, wh/mi” does change value. This bug is noticeable in iOS 15.
    5) Clock time should allow for user to adjust between 24-hr or 12hr (AM/PM) and or reflect what is being provided by the vehicle.
    6) Allow toggle battery capacity and estimated miles left per charge to be displayed rather than %.
    7) 0-40, s 0-60, s and 1/4 mi, s does not display anything (Is this mainly for track mode for the Performance models?
    8) Car odometer reading is incorrect under “About this car”. It is off by thousands of miles
    9) Minor units and abbreviations could be a tad clearer.
    10) Allow units to be different or changed (ie imperial vs. metric) independent from the car, if possible
    11) The share icon does not work for the further screen left on app page (About this car, Car info, etc.
    Everything else is quite good, app is extremely responsive/low latency, and overall good UI

    Not sure why HDR is not working as the video was shot in HDR and exported, TH-cam's terrible implementation and metadata handling needs to be improved.

    I did additional testing on Android on the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE and the Pixel 5, the application works well and is high performing. The “Energy Saved” on the main speedometer dash does work and Google Maps and the arrow seems to be less choppy.
    The other bugs and requested features are identical on iOS 15 and Android (11 and 12).

    When the phone is used as instrumentation panel, can it be also connected to the car to play music?

      It definitely can be connected to the car to play music and do accept phone calls and voice commands. I do it all the time.

    It appears that this is not echoing the various alerts the car hides behind my arm in the lower right corner of the screen.

      Yes, I did notice that - the current alert I noticed was for autopilot that is consistent. This is something I hope will be added to the app given that the data is there though the app is still very new. Will let them know.

    I should have used your Code..
    for Acceleration 0-40 0-60 and etc. You need start from a dead stop and then Full Throttle/Pedal Acceleration.

      Thanks for the feedback. The 0-40, 0-60 etc didn't seem to work for me but the latest app update which I'm currently reviewing should work. Needs more testing though. I think it has to be related with track mode.

      @@JPMediaProductions I have Dual Motor “Boosted” and no track mode.. I’ve been able to do all but no quarter mile accuracy since I slowed down.
      Note I updated app this morning.

    i am curious that dose the Tesla know you plug in this transmitter before you remove it?

    • @JPMediaProductions
      @JPMediaProductions  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't think Tesla would be aware as the dongle is only reading information from the vehicle and not sending data back to it.

    Does the display device require a carrier data plan, or can I use an older IOS Iphone with no carrier? I would prefer not to use my main phone, but get a 2nd non-carrier connected device.

    • @JPMediaProductions
      @JPMediaProductions  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It does not require data plan unless you decide to use Google Maps (last screen fat right), but you can use Wi-Fi hotspot.

    Can Teslogic use a tablet instead of a phone?

    • @JPMediaProductions
      @JPMediaProductions  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You most certainly can! Android or iOS (will work with iPadOS) are supported. Note that with iPadOS, it’s not fully optimized for the larger screen.
