For those of you who are confused this chest has whatever you sell to a few of the merchants in whiterun so whatever you sell them will go in that chest, it's not fake and it's not luck

You realize you can do that in half the time if you turn right at the entrance gate and jump on the barrel and you can jump out of the map and then you follow the path that he took outside the map

theres also one in solitude if you srand facing the entrance to solitude from the first gateway turn right and look for a blue line next to the tree it will be around there
I tried the barrel glitch for about an hour. I wasn't able to jump over the wall.

There's a faster way to do this: 1) Go behind Jorrvaskr where the tables and chairs are located and walk up to the wall just where the rock face meets with the wall 2) Take a bowl, bucket or basket and face the bottom of said object to the wall with the opening of the object facing you. 3) Next use Whirlwind sprint(Spoiler: you can use the same trick on doors that are secured from the other side or that actually have metal bars, and to get into other glitched areas in the game) and you'll phase through the wall to the other side, and from there just walk to the same spot on this video to get to the chest. Basically that saves you from tedious jumping and having to run all around Whiterun.
Hey guys you can just use a wooden plate and hold it against the wall by the skyforge and run right thru it. Seriously... who does all this running around the entire whiterun city just to get that chest? Am I the only one that does it this way? Let me know if u guys want a tutorial vid.

Yes it works on all consoles so yeah it also works on the newer skyrim. And sorry about how long its been, I've been making the tutorial and am going to post it soon! It is way easier than this video tutorial.

Zebul Master the equipment that spawns in it depends on your lvl. the higher your lvl the better stuff you will get.

+DarkKnight2301 I am a low level and I just did all the work to get to the chest, the items in it are not that good and as you said before thats due to my level. If I were to take items in it now will I be able to come back in the future as a higher level and get items that scale to my level or will there be nothing in it because I am taking from it now?
Funkiestdryice there will be stuff in it later. there is an easier way to get out the wall. it involves a barrel. I have it on my channel. just make sure you talk to the graymane forge dude then after 48 game hours more stuff will be there

There's a much easier way to get to this, doesn't involve jumping up on walls or buildings. There's a house you fall into then you follow all the steps explained in this video after he goes under the map.

Another helpful hint... When you are under the skyforge, go directly under the eagle statue thingy and look up, jump, and spam the use button, you will be teleported out by using the forge. Much faster than walking out if u are overcumberred.
I usually take the first right when I enter whiterun and jump out from the barrel in that small room. But I agree that this is Graymanes chest. The location is directly under the skyforge. If you empty his inventory and wait for 48 hours his inventory and gold restock as well.
this way takes way too long just jump out the window in the guard area by the front gate

Chris Byrd Yeah, same here. It's way easier. In fact, I recently learned that you don't ever need the barrel. Just put a platter up to the wall and use the Whirlwind Sprint shout and you can go right through. Apparently you can use platters to go through most any wall (other than ones that will lead to a loading screen). It's awesome!

You made this look harder than it is to to get outside, you can be outside Whiterun before you even climb up to the top of the roof and items that spawn in chests are level based so if your low level the item will be low damage/armour and as for the 'don't go to far' outside it doesn't make any difference you can go to the farms outside Whiterun they just despawn.
He means, "Don't travel too far while scaling the wall," because if you go to a specific side of the walls, and you go way too far on that side, you see something that says "To," which, if you walk into it, will force you into an infinite loading screen, as said.
Chest is just for Eorland Gray Manes inventory. If you go to any other merchant in Whiterun, they all have there stufd but if you choose to sell the items from Eorland after you took from the chest, you will see his inventory is empty. There is an easier way to get to it by getting a bucket and running into the bucket into a wall by the companions home and just going through it.
I tried this on the special edition and it worked! I got great stuff! Thank you so much!!!
Press the "~" button or you call it console then type "tcl" on it press enter and it will set collision off so you can walk trough every thingand to reset it to normal back just type "tcl" again it will on the collision. This is the fastes way to get to secret chests

I have been trying to do this on the Switch and I keep dieing when I fall through the world the first time from the stone archway when I leave the housetop. Anyway that I can keep from dieing when I try to leave from the top of the stone archway? Please help. I've been trying to figure it out for 2 days.

Guys here's what you should do to save time, clear lots of your inventory, basically have lots of carry weight available, then do this glitch once and stay at the chest, then skip around 24-48 hours in game and stuff in the chest should respawn and keep doing this until your overloaded with carry weight
It's crazy how this still works even in the remastered version.

Uhm there’s a much easier ways to get the chest in whiterun
by house grey-mayne on the right side of the building you should see some red flowers just stand on them for a while the force of the red flowers will pull you under whiterun, you end up under house Grey-mayne but you want to run towards the flowing water where there is a patch of land underneath, then glitch out from underneath the map by heading towards the stone wall and running in front of whiterun entrance go around it not in, then walk around the town till you reached the sky forge and you end up running till you see the 2nd glitched out floor jump over the 1st boulder and walk or run straight into the second boulder it should let you walk though it then once inside jump to interact with the chest and just take all the sell or keep everything thanks for reading my tip

the first one you could of go right from the main gate and jump and the barrel to the outside
the barrel by the main gate use it to hop over the wall still tricky but less death involved and alot shorter if u do it right

You can also jump on top of the warmaiden's using the smelter and use the whirlwind sprint shout to the top of the tower thing and jump off
There's a easy way go to the front gate turn right jump on the barrel then to the wall.
That ACTUALLY is the easiest way. Much faster AND easier
SharCard WRONG. next to the companions building near the archery targets, pick up a bowl and place it up against the wall. The whirlwind sprint into the bowl. Works every time and you can cut down the travel time. I tested and it took me a grand total of 2 minutes. :I. how did nobody else know this?

I found easy way to glitch out of city! Just spawn on whitrun gate go to right on watch tower and you can see a box. Jump on the box and try to jump on the tower hole and you can glitch out of city
take a kettle or platter and push the top of either one into a wall, then use whirlwind sprint into the bottom and you should fly through the wall, if not just keep walking into it back and forth you should eventually clip through the wall.

there is a lot easier way btw. Just when you enter through the main gate go right. You wil lse a barrel in a sort of small corner. Jump on the barrel and jump up the wall left of it. Get the timing right and crouch through the gap of the wall once you are on it and you are outside the walls a lot easier.
This is just a longer way of getting under jorvaskr(?). If you get on the very top of the roof and use whirlwind sprint to get ontop of the invisible barrier its much faster.

I recently found a treasure map from a bandit camp at it was a a secret chest on the throat of the world it a a full set of glass armor and it had a daedric sword

oh my god before you guys start bitching know your facts...
1.) all merchant chests have items according to your level.
2.) all items in a merchant chest are random.
3.) these chests are there so when you want to buy something from a merchant the game points you to that chest. therefore all the items in that chest, are being sold by that merchant.

Guys you can just go to the gate, turn left and go into that little guard tower and jump on the barrel. Once you do that you can just jump over the wall and get this same chest in a quarter of the time. Then just follow his foot steps from out side the walls and get the chest.
Easiest way to do this is go to the watchtower on the left when you first enter white run. Get on the barrel and make sure you're not touching the wall jump onto the wall on the right of when you first enter. Keep jumping until you jump out. If you can't jump out wall along the wall to the other side and slip right througj

You can also just wall glitch using a Plater or wooden plate on a certain part under the sky forge closer to the archery targets then the stairs that's 10 times easier.
Love this glitch, been doing it since the 360 days.
Ok so I know it might be a bit late to say this cause I'm sure other ppl found out about this way, but instead of jumping on the roof about whatever just get a platter, drag it to one of the windows of the jorrvasker entrance (left side) start sprinting, then use fus roh dah then boom, under jorrvasker and hidden chest still there. Instead of running around whiterun

the dawnstar chest does, in fact, belong to Ahkari. as for the whiterun chest i don't know
i‘m not sure that chest belongs to the merchant. isn‘t it just hidden in the cave beneath the skyforge where you get turned into a werewolf during the companions-questline?
at the main gate facing it the left tower has a barrel u can jump on top of and jump out of white run and do the same thing

Go to the skyforge, hit ~ to get to console. Type TCL and you can go through the floor. Get to the chest and empty it, go back above ground level, console and TCL again.
There is a much easier way to do this. As you enter whiterun go directly right and there is a guard tower 2 foot from the entrance/ exit. Once ok are there u will want to turn right again. You should see a barrel you must then jump on that barrel and proceed to jump in the window facing towards the entrance of whiterun. You will have to crouch to get out of it.
There is an easier way to get to the sky forge chest, to the left of the main gate should a little room with a barrel against the wall jump on the barrel and the jump toward the wall next to the gate it’s much easier

I like to just go onto skyforge. Whirlwind sprint onto Jorvaskrs roof, get on top of the weird roof decor thing. I whirlwind sprint off. You should land on an invisible wall above the regular wall. From there you can just jump off of the invisible wall.
There's also a hidden chest by markarth.
now that i know his chest, but is it known adrianne avenicci's chest could be located somewhere in whiterun?
