Same I don't know why people said it's a bad game, not darksiders fan but others Me myself didn't like skyrim, but majority of the players do. After playing this game I learned a lesson, never trust reviews and critics and other players too, just try for urself then decide.
Dunno what your problem is or was but i had no trouble with this Boss or with the Horse-Control. The fight is not that special, but all together makes it great. I just love the Music while fighting. Atmosphere is epic.^^
git gud casul this fucking game is ez and I just did a full playthrough on deathinitive difficulty on the remasterd PC version.. Looks fucking beautiful and the game is incredible on deathinivite edition dark siders 2.

You may have a point there actually. And that is coming from someone who has refused to use a mouse & keyboard except for Westwood studios. I believe that gamepads can function a LOT better than this though, as demonstrated by Deep Rock Galactic & DOOM 2016. But the lock off limits, speed limits, & ammo.. limits(!) are all very frustrating. I do wish for more linear games with this reduced graphic resources though, so that we can have good games back. Rather than games that look amazeballz but play like a cow. Cough RAGNACOCK cough!!
Man the makers zone was so large with so many dungeons and bosses that when I first played this game I thought when I got to this fight I was at the last boss of the game, little did I know I was in for so much more.
hey. at 9:14. he freezes there and the camera comes back to our guy. but all the stuff that happens after it doesnt show i mean the movie cinematic freezes but the game still works. all sounds comes from background. please tell me how do i fix it, its a bug or wat ?
8 years later I’m afraid I’m a bit too late, but if it fills you with hope on the definitive edition it is fixed but my knowledge is limited and only based on what I’ve seen from 1 year ago
Gah this boss fight. Firs time I got frustrated with this game. Why do they put grass all over the floor when you're tilting the camera upward half the time to see where the hammer is? How am I supposed to know to put him between me and the balls? So little affordance. Great music though, the whole game has amazing music.

Phamm W. I mean, to be fair the gimmick of the boss stays throughout the whole fight. You use explosives against his arm, to destroy it’s arm, and then you use the one other explosive that follows you to bring it to his legs. The only vulnerable part of his body.
@@DiranJiru I agree with you for the most part, but you only know this once you've either gone through a ton of tedious trial and error to figure it out on your own while fighting with some of the games more clunky and annoying mechanics at the same time, or come to a video like this one to take away the frustration in a few minutes. Lol

When his hammer was coming down, I would charge as fast as I could and then make the horse jump before the hammer hit the ground. It avoided the “shock” waves from it when I’d jump.
Honestly one of the WORST boss fights I've ever played. the stupid hammer attack is nearly IMPOSSIBLE to dodge, and how are you supposed to know to hit the fucking thing with it's cannon ball bullshit?
different things are difficult to different people. I had trouble with this but found the rest of the bosses easy, except Samael, he was difficult in a fun way. unlike this big bastard who was annoying as hell.

The crowsfather had the best boss+music!
This and Reaper Rannoch fight in Mass Effect 3 and of course the glorious fight with War at the beginning of Darksiders 2
It was somewhat upsetting to see the Guardian get corrupted.
This is the only boss fight that made me feel the same feeling of fighting any titan in shadow of the colossus

I was stuck on this for awhile. Found out it was bugged till I reset the game. Bombs would blow but did nothing and stood like that

Playing this on a big screen TV with surround sound really made the Guardian feel big, it was an experience I'll never forget.
