    Is a landfill really the solution? Just because something is “manicured” and you don’t see the trash doesn’t mean it’s magically gone away

    Congratulations for that project you're working on 👏👏, as a Tanzanian I can agree with you but it's not an easy transition as it is for any other Places/country but it's worth it

    Hello beautiful, I am coming to Tanzania on Dec for three months, so I am looking small house or bedroom for rent, I born in Ethiopia no fancy just quit and friendly village and need your help. When I come there dress like Ethiopian, I came from Ethiopia, not from the Babylon girl, I know exactly what are you talking about. About the garbage, I and my husband were in Ethiopia 1 year ago and in front of the hotel we stayed, there was a pile of garbage 🗑️, we reach the owner tell him how disappointed, you make money, but totally not cleaning the place, I am talking very successful business man, unfortunately the population of Africa his heart is not there, they want to come to the Babylon, Europe...but don't give me wrong there are also millions hard work people....

    Culture is everything. No matter where you go you have to know you’re style/fashion is going to be conducive to the host nation.
    You could assimilate, or repatriate to a more culturally appropriate place. I prefer religious societies over non-religious.
    If this sounds unpalatable, it’s not intended to be an unpleasant, it’s just my tone of writing.
    Oh I totally feel you on the spending more money 💰 for things, as a foreigner. Note: Tanzanians get overcharged too, and it’s not only in Tanzania where you get overcharged for things. You will get caught out when buying things you’re not used to paying for but you’ll get used to the knowing when the price is being hiked up. There are some really nice shop keepers who don’t over charge.

    Thank you sis for mentioning that about throwing garbage out the window
    I visited Tanzania last year stayed for 2 months fell in love with the place but what I didn't like is when is saw people just throwing there garbage out the window when I was on the bus going into the town I was so sick in my stomach to see such a thing I notice there was no garbage cans on the streets my tour guide was doing the same and I told him don't you dare throw that garbage on the ground so I walk with a extra bag to put the garbage in I have something against litterbugs he said the government don't care so I said you have to care about your community I even saw a mazungu ( white women ) walking around and picking up the garbage and putting it into a bag even she was disgusted by what was going on with the garbage
    Well I apployed you for any idea you have to put the garbage in its rightful place
    am returning to TZ soon and I will surely Link up with you to help you with that project,
    Cuz one of the laws of Ma'at is
    I HAVE NOT POLLUTE THE EARTH.

    Great content. They do this all the times. Other American TH-camrs who have relocated to the continent are also experiencing the same thing.

    Every country has own culture my lady. You can't expect to dress American way in Saudi Arabia.

    • @pheonixiswild
      @pheonixiswild  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’m not in Saudi Arabia. I don’t mind about the culture of dress but when any foreigner comes to American, I don’t judge or require them to dress American. I think everyone should dress and express themselves the way they want no matter where they go. Otherwise it’s just a costume, not authentic. Like when celebrities visit a new country and wear authentic clothing…it’s a costume ..not what they would wear everyday.

      @@pheonixiswildhahaha lol 😆 interesting response but Americans can't tell anyone what to wear on their soil, because MOST WALK AROUND CLOSE TO NUDITY - it's highly encouraged clearly on display in magazines,billboards,music etc ! USA thrives on OPEN Sexual Immorality and Misconduct .....I respect TZ for their non-tolerance to intentional Immodesty!

    why do you have to preface 'black American' when sharing your experience? BA's are not the only expat ppl in Africa, I don't understand. I absolutely agree with the pollution, its awful.

    • @pheonixiswild
      @pheonixiswild  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Because I’m a black American having an experience. I cannot speak for any other expat group. Sorry you are confused
      And yes the pollution is insane.
