    TY for answering my question.
    It's so frustrating. Im believing for healing in my body and I know that when I pray about it, God has told me, "Change these things and healing will come". But see that sounds conditional. It sounds like a work. I listen to a lot of preachers and teachers and they tend to lean heavily on the fact that we are not supposed to DO anything. Because God did it all, and it's already accomplished, etcetera.
    So, it's easy for me to start questioning if I'm even in faith. I start to wonder if maybe I just haven't renewed my mind and what I think is God telling me to make changes, isn't really just an unrenewed mind. The devil plays havoc with it and I start to wonder if because I'm just not smart enough to understand what's happening, that I'm letting God down somehow.
    It helps to hear that if the Holy Spirit leads us into something to do, it's an act of obedience and therefore faith, instead of an act of unbelief. I hope I understood you correctly.
    TY again pastor Duane. I am so thankful you have a TH-cam channel. God bless you.

      You heard perfectly well! By faith act on what the Holy Spirit is leading you to do!

      I understand your frustration. Perhaps the Holy Spirit is telling you that these particular things are affecting your heart and therefore your ability to believe on what Jesus has done for you. And so that's why God wants you to stop or get rid of those things. Not necessarily because those individual things are stopping your healing, but because they are affecting your ability to believe.

    What happens when you pray for healing and the person you're praying for has given up, or doesnt really want or expect healing?

    • @DuaneSheriffMinistries
      @DuaneSheriffMinistries  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's a good question. To some degree or another the individual you are praying for needs to be believing themselves or you must be a Spiritual or natural authority in their lives, i.e.. a parent, spouse, etc..

      @@DuaneSheriffMinistries thanks for answering. I was not a spiritual authority.

      @@DuaneSheriffMinistriesI prayed the prayer of faith for my brother in law, but it was very clear that he actually didn't believe that God should heal him.
      For 5 years I tried to show him how it had nothing to do with him but it was 100% God's grace. Sadly he lost his battle with cancer. Since that time I really struggled with my faith. Your teaching has confirmed what the Lord said to me. In that he had areas of his life that he didn't obey the Lord's instruction to let go of his " religious " ties and lies.

    Hello brother Sheriff, I am wondering why you use an old testament law word for what Jesus Christ has done for us. No where in the New Testament does the Spirit of God use the word Atonement, which only signifies" a covering of ".
    I find that the "church", has used the wrong word to describe what Jesus did in the total removal of our sin. Words and their meanings seem to be very important to the Lord from my study of His Word. Blessings to you Sir.
