The *”i have died everyday waiting for you”* hit me really hard cause Eiji probably did not even hear anything from ash since 1991.....when the manga was officially ended. All that time Eiji was waiting for him. It’s just my theory
I mean if it makes you feel any better- Eiji didn't spend all of that time waiting, he knew about Ash's death as soon as he landed in Japan. He never did really accept the fact that Ash died until many years later, but he wasn't waiting around for him the whole time, thinking that Ash was choosing not to see him. That brings me just a little bit of peace so I hope it brings you a little bit of peace as well-

I don't know why, but Ash's death made me both sad and grateful, I was grateful that he was finally able to rest from everything, the world is too cruel for ash. but I'm sad because he didn't have time to meet eiji and go to japan with him 😭😭
i think that we would all love to see ash and eiji finally together and safe. i would love to see him happy and cared for without having to worry something bad will happen. but we have to accept that he died and why he choose to live his final day in that library with his love's letter. he finally felt at peace, with the letter that was written by his soulmate. he felt at peace with the fact that the man that hurt him so so much was finally gone. he was at peace that eiji was finally going home where he could be safe. he was ready to go see his best friend, he was ready to finally be free. he was ready to move on, and i think thats so heartbreaking that his life burdened him that much. he loved eiji with all of his heart, but he knew that eiji would want him to be free.

This is THE ANIME and MANGA! The one and only. This let me cry everytime I see or read it. If people talk about it I become silent and my thouhts drive away. Why did these Mangaka kill us all with this sad end? Why had Eiji to suffer like this. Why let she Ash die. He was a good human. He never killed anyone innocent. He never hurt the innocent.
