I got engaged 35 years ago and went to Blackpool for the AGM and towed a caravan 250 miles each way for the event and evening disco. YFC is a fantastic organization group of people. Wife sadly passed away 9 years ago otherwise I am sure we would have still been married.

Very lucky to live on a main road. God a new Office Chair a few days ago. Put the old one at the top of our drive. It was gone inside 40 minutes - No need to take to tip. Almost a "Green" recycle.
I am 90% today spent a pleasant day at my Dad's place teaching a chap how to drive a tractor and he was very good and dug the ragwort up that came from the scruffy folk next door

Our big problem with fly tipping comes from Cannabis farms. Every four months or so they must refresh the crop and we get all the waste compost and burnt out electrical gear, heaters/fridge freezers etc, chucked on our land and into our ditches. Had to put a fence up to try to stop them. Luckily the council will work with me to remove the waste as long as I can recover to a safe area but the police don't seem interested.
I'm 95% today, spring crops are growing, we are caught up on spraying/spreading and I'm having a day off tomorrow.

Fly tipping is such a big problem even here in Alicante in Spain it’s no different to where you are Olly it is just a joke Kind Regards Jim
Fly tipping can be mitigated by cameras placed high or hidden game cameras at gate ways and hedge rows, or spike mats etc. Cameras are cheap and take little time to set up and maintain.

Excellent vlog Olly. Fly tipping is something that really boils my p**s. There is a total lack of respect but its a lot worse since council tips made it more difficult to tip there. I lived in Leicestershire for most of my life and in rural Leics the fly tipping was terrible. Since we moved to Skye the litter issue is much better because we respect our home. The main issue is camper vans and the shit (I mean that in the literal sense) they leave expecting us to clear up. A lot of it is down to the way we bring our kids up. Mine respect the countryside and wouldn't dream of chucking litter or they would have me to answer to.
Hey Olly, well said about fly tipping. Funny BBC called it illegal? I presumed ALL fly tipping is criminal. Maybe best way to stop casual tipping would be a cash incentive to take it to tips paid by companies where the rubbish was produced. They should pay councils to have tips opened 24H with automatic processing giving credits on say a phone. Also more street collections of large waste weekly similar to London. This issue needs a proper paper trail.

at our recycling centre near to us you have to proove you live localy by showing a utility bill and they only take household rubbish free of charge and they charge for garden waste and builders waste so my argument is stop charging people /business and allow people to take any rubbish free of charge.......the minute you start charging people to take there rubbish is the main reason they fly tip also i think the fines need to be higher at least £1,000

I just dont understand fly tipping. Youve already put it it in their car/van, just take it to the tip. Also people seem to not realise your council will do a pick up for stuff for free in many areas.
