How to replace low beam headlight bulb (H7) on Smart Fortwo in 6 steps

Great video…did it yesterday…bit of a struggle if you haven’t done it before…made use of an endoscope I bought 3 yrs ago for another job…fed the camera tip through the gap between the bonnet and the side panel. Once the black covering cap was removed could clearly see how things were laid out on the 5 inch screen…made it quite a bit easier…thanks for posting. 😀😀

I am sorry but your entire vid does not show how you managed to replace the bulbs into such a tight area,,,because you cant...you used a separate headlamp unit to show installation of the bulbs.. WASTE OF TIME FOR ME..REMOVE THE ENTIRE FROM BUMPER THEN INSTAL THE ITEMS THAT NEED INSTALLING.

#1- my hand to big to get bin there, #2 I hate working blind (he made it easy using a light out of car as an example, #3 doubt it on '04 CDI ...tomorrow a big challenge to change mine

​@ I was lucky actually. Managed to squeeze hand in (minor scrapes) but as i tried to remove the bulb cover the light went on. Some how it came loose. So with patience i wiggled (lol) the cap tighter. So far so good. But left hand paid the price. But i know futur replacements means a few beers and a afternoon shot to change a free-zucken bulb These manufacturers, well really the engineers should be shot. Man i miss my MKII Jetta's

designer of smarts should be locked up in mental institution. used to have smart for four - only access through wheel well, assuming you have few extra joints in you arm or need to remove wheel.
