Genius! I've never heard of a thread bed and have been stitching but 30 years I'll definitely make one. Thanks for the excellent video.
@@dc5600 I learn so much from watching floss tubes
Your instructions are great and I just made one. It turned out really well and gave me a chance to practice my corners. I don't have any snaps so I'm just using a small binder clip. Thank you for taking the time to make this video.
Glad it helped! I’m making more this weekend bc I want one for every project!
Thank you for this video! I have been looking for a tutorial on thread beds for quite some time.
Thank you for the nice tutorial.
Thank you so much. I’ve been wanting one of these for each of my projects since I use silk thread and I like to use every last bit of thread but even one was too pricey on Etsy now I can afford to have one in every single project bag thank you thank you thank you!
I’m so glad it was helpful to you!
Thank you so much for sharing this tutorial, and. for the link to the snaps with tools. I want to add matching thread beds to some project bags I am giving as gifts at a retreat. Just what I was looking for.

Wonderful! It would have been cool if you could have shown those corners that's what scares me from making them lol. You did a fine job, thank you
@@kathleencopegog447 I plan to make some more this Sunday - I’ll take some close up shots of the corners for u
@@laurab5889 oh my goodness thank you so much. you are so kind!

Great tutorial! I’m ordering the snaps now 👍
That was a great video. Thank you!
Thank you! Going to give this a try and appreciate all the links
Nice tutorial - thanks for sharing!
Thanks for sharing this!! 🪡✂️🧵
I've made a couple of these but I've found that my threads get all messed up once the folder is closed so I'm going to attach a divider piece in the middle to keep the sides apart
Thank you. Just what I was looking for. 😄
Thank you so much! Great tutorial!
Thank you for sharing this technique.
Please forgive my ignorance, but what are these used for, and how are they used? I'm guessing it's a way to keep your floss organized?
@@susanowen1709 yes it’s a place to lay your thread scraps & they stick to it.
@@laurab5889 Got it, thanks!
Thank you for sharing!
Great. Thank you so much!!!
Thank you so much!
Thank you for the tutorial!! Question, what iron do you have? I'm looking for a good cordless iron ;)
@@cricketrawlins9216 it’s the Panasonic cordless & I love it
Thank you!!
Panasonic - its fabulous & i bought a 2nd one in case they stop making it. 😅
Thank you!!
Excuse my silly question but is a thread bed somewhere to throw the odds and end?
Yes that’s exactly it & it’s made with a fabric that the threads cling too
Thank you. And the “inny and outty” pieces made me giggle so much! They’re actually called male and female …! No lie. Really appreciate the time you took to make the tutorial. Thank you.
@@sallyholmes9655 LOL!!! 😁 it’s funny what words u can’t recall when you’re recording. I knew the male & female term - just wouldn’t come to me.
Pardon my ignorance, but is a thread bed meant to store floss clippings?
Yes exactly! They stick to the interfacing I use so they don’t make a mess ☺️
