I'm a sucker a collage-style deck like The Rosebud Deck. The imagery seems more conservative/less absurd than the Tantric Dakini, which is really *chef kiss* a top notch collage trip. I guess, different decks have their different uses and sometimes if the imagery is too narrative with a clear "subject" I can't meditate on the message. But then if it's too abstract, I can't discern the meaning or differentiate between the cards. So then I'm just looking at the book which is not what I'm looking for.
@@alyx2alyx I love collage decks and have quite a few! I need to check out the Tantric Dakini! Connecting with imagery usually comes natural but sometimes like with the rosebud deck I just get nothing from it.
I don’t know there’s just something about Baba studios decks that I just wonder about. So expensive….. and just so much hype…… how they go in and out of print to get people to want them. Kind of bugs me. I’ve had three, two of which I’ve re-homed and the third one soon to be gone. I get a little Emperor’s New Clothes from these decks. And I really wish they had stuck with the beautiful cardboard boxes rather than the wooden ones……
@@weststartarot-Liz There is a big hype around them for sure and they do work really hard on their decks. It’s just maybe too much quality put into the decks to the point that there is a big disconnect for me. I don’t really want my decks to be over the top gilded and fancy. I am rough with my decks and knowing that it’s hard to get and so fancy I treat it too delicately.
