While some years ago, R&B singer turned reality TV star Toni Braxton filed for bankruptcy twice - once in 1998 and again in 2011 - it doesn’t mean she didn’t have the dough to re-spend after that. She lost a few of her homes to foreclosure including one in Nevada, and one in Atlanta, but then purchased another $ 3 million pad in Calabasas in 2014. We’ll check out a few properties that Ms. Toni Braxton has called home over the years - we even found some of the listings. Toni Michele Braxton is a singer, songwriter, record producer, TV personality, and more who has sold over 70 million records worldwide as of this year. She’s one of the highest-selling female R&B artists in history, who’s also won 7 Grammy awards and numerous other accolades. She started her career in the late 1980s, performing with her sisters in a music group called the Braxtons - and they were signed to Arista Records. By the 90s, she was working on her solo career releasing her debut studio album in 1993, which was a hit. Aside from her continued success in the music industry over the years, she’s also a TV executive producer and personality. Toni competed in Dancing with the Stars and also helped produce and starred in Braxton Family Values - a reality TV series that’s been airing since 2011. These are just some of the accomplishments Ms. Braxton has under her belt so far, and apparently, it’s earned her a net worth of around $10 million. Despite this, the R&B star did have to file for bankruptcy a couple times in her life, also being forced to sell some of her properties. Clearly, she’s bounced back since then.

There was no need to disrespect TONI BRAXTON by dismissing her as one of the most successful R&B/Pop singers from the 90s as now a reality star. She is more than that. The Woman is a freakin Legendary Superstar DIVA!!!
I don't see why the need to dwell on her bankruptcy situations. She had no choice But to file in her situations. But atleast, she was able to arise from those challenging chapters and is now currently living her Best life 🙏🏽💯🏆👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

She lost those homes after becoming deathly ill with lupus. She had to cancel her Vegas shows and filed bankruptcy to salvage what she could. Not mentioning this makes it seem as if she is frivolous and irresponsible and was losing houses left and right. If you did the research to learn how many mortgage payments she missed surely you saw this too.
Right I wished ppl explained that when they mentioned her bankruptcy. She was cheated out of money with the first one, and fell ill the second time. And they mentioned not knowing the last place but it’s been shown on tv for a couple years 😂- I need ppl to put respect on her name ! Lok

So true she had and still have lupus but she continues to work and be positive. While interviewing her even Oprah claws came out (WOW) 😮when ppl in the music industry had bled her dry! I felt it was vicious and hurtful because at the time Toni had first filed for bankruptcy and had sharks leaving her so little although she gave so much. I feel that we should uplift our people instead of bringing them down. ❤️
She should have waited until she was done doing them shows in Vegas. She assumed that the money would be there anything can happen.

If she was going to talk about her bankruptcies she should have also didn't mention why Toni filed bankruptcy. Toni sued her record company and received $10M, but couldn't discuss it for years bc of the settlement terms. She filed a 2nd time to protect her interests. She discovered she had lupus/ health issues which wouldn't allow her to fulfill her obligations in Las Vegas. Read her book. She seemed to be more focused on her losses vs. her house tours and her comeback.. Glad Toni is back on her feet. 🙏🏽✌❤

there's a whole movie about this. She wasn't legally able to speak about why she just money because of the court settlement, but it starts with her then record label ripping her off & taking all they money they owed her. so the world thought she was just irresponsible & she couldn't correct them with the truth without breaking settlement. then she became super ill with Lupus and had to cancel her vegas shows which I think many she had to fork over the lost revenue to those companies who lost profits. That's a miserable situation to be in, but God is good.
She spends more than she makes...so she hasn't been good at putting any of it in the bank. In one of the Braxton Family Values Toni ask the question do you marry a man for love or money.. her answer was money...which is sad for a woman who has sold over 70 million albums.

You need to watch the movie. literally addressed in the movie that she wasn't able to speak out for herself and had to let the world think that. she was in a NDA type Settlement with her record label and then she was struck with Lupus and had to cancel her shoes and had to pay all the money back to the venues for their list revenue from all those canceled tour dates

I hate that you dragged her before showing her home. Toni filed bankruptcy because she was cheated by LaFace Refords. Her albums sales and money funneled to the record label helped to catapult the careers of Usher & TLC to name a few. She later sued and got over $90 million dollars. Her second bankruptcy was to protect her assets from being taken from not completing her Vegas residency. She had a heart attack on stage from her Lupus. The judge dismissed the company’s complaint after her physician testified how her Lupus affected her health. Y’all really need to do y’all research. Toni is a legend!
