  • This can be done in Photoshop with the same method
    Hello world, In this video, I'll show you how to create a traditional stipple effect in Adobe Illustrator without using any plugins. The method is very simple and easy to follow along. You can use third-party stipple brushes or create your own brush. But here in this video, I'm not going to use any external brushes. I'll use some Illustrator's default features to get this done.
    You can use this method on your photos too. that requires good lighting though. But with few tweaks in photoshop, it is worth a try.
    I've used an image of an origami rhino to create the low poly shape of rhino. You can try with different animals with different backgrounds.
    PLEASE READ:
    1) Don't freak out if artwork gets desaturated while zooming artboard. It is just issue of visibility, exported image will be fine.
    2) If you are having a problem with colors while exporting output, Make sure you are selecting "Type Optimized" from the export dialogue box. Somehow illustrator CC 2015 in not exporting colors with "Art Optimized" option when Luminosity blend mode is used inside the artwork.

    I've never seen stippling done like this before, really interesting method and love that you can edit the gradients throughout the process. Great video.

    That's very cool, I did recently get some stippling brushes for using on strokes within Illustrator but this is another good method.

    What if your trying to do a color landscape that has multiple colors.... I have a project for a landscape and I was thinking of doing my project with this system. I'm working with the northern lights.

      Use of Gradient Mesh is excellent for Northern lights (aka aurora right?)
      Apply This same grain effect on colorful objects "group".

    How can deselect the previous one? When I reach the intersect point it's deleted. I hope you understand my question

    • @vectorslategraphicdesigntu8991
      @vectorslategraphicdesigntu8991  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That happened because you kept the previous shape selected. You can click outside an object to deselect it or go to Select > Deselect All.

    Why doesn't it work when I use luminosity?

    • @vectorslategraphicdesigntu8991
      @vectorslategraphicdesigntu8991  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I was sure someone will ask this question :)
      There is subtle solution: Choose "Type Optimized" (not Art Optimized) while Exporting image. Somehow Illustrator is ignoring colors in art optimization with Luminosity blend mode when graphic pen filter is in use.

    • @xuanzhezhang5804
      @xuanzhezhang5804 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1
