I was told I was dying 24 year ago , a lady stood in prayer I felt god take that cancer cervical stage five . But my god seen fit for me to be here I prayed to see my g kids been blessed with eleven so far and four children . Faith is faith and I haven’t went back to docs since after my surgery have a few problems from chemo and all but my god took that awful thing and gave me life a second chance to be here and believe keep on keepin on !!!! 😀
That music..... Is the same, hypnotic Rockabilly music, that they use in ALL of those Snake-Handling, Poison-Drinking, and Fire-Handling "Churches"! Has anybody else ever noticed that?
I have the utmost respect for these believers. I couldn't do it. I believe everyone has the right to worship as they believe. Praise God for our nation that allows free worship!
It comes from Mark 16:18: "they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well." But they don't understand this is not to be taken literally. What is interesting is that this might be one of the only Christian groups in history to take the passage in Marks Gospel literally. lol
They most certainly did not. To a one, their lives were filled with complication, hardship and deep, personal struggle. It was from this they gained insight and wisdom not through simplicity.
I think Gandhi, Martin Luther King, Benjamin Banneker, Abraham Lincoln, Michelangelo, Socrates, Albert Einstein, Thomas Edison, the Buddha and countless other leaders, artists and philosophers would very much beg to differ.
Except neither Gandhi nor the Buddha began their lives in privation and the Buddha only wore rags for a time, King and Einstein were both masters as being seen and heard by the media and Socrates did leave his hometown. At thrice by his own admission. What I meant, as did the person who responded to you before, was mental simplicity and being satisfied with simple-minded.
You call me pretentious, then proceed to tell me how life is using some generic cliche that attempts to pass itself off as insight. You call me judgmental, then assume things about me which are false. I believe they call that irony. The danger here is that tolerating stupidity because the stupid happen to be faithful leads to the inevitable conclusion that everything done in the name of faith should be tolerated provided people truly believe.
You may admire the sense of community the whole 8 of them have but to heal the sick and handling venous snake to perform the miracles of their lord, I have to wonder about simplicity of ones mind.
Hey bro im down in miami fl maybe in a few months ill go up there and bring with me my friends indian cobra and then we can do a dance off with the snakes 😂😂😂😂😂
And, is it fair to say these...people have lives filled with hardship, complication and personal struggle when they inflicting those conditions on themselves, willfully and with full acceptance of the potential consequences? No, sir, I don't think so.
What I have said is based on your comments. And pointing out irony is not at all pretentious. And as for cliche, I think another know-it-all atheist name dropping people like Einstein and Gandhi is probably the most cliche thing on the Internet. God bless.
Jamie passed away...cody coots still takes up serpents...hamblin has been divorced and went to jail for shootin a gun but is back out and remarried and still taking up serpents
You don't think the men in this video have lives filled with complication, hardship, and personal struggle? I was referring mostly to living simple lives by the lack of materialism. Socrates never left his home town, Gandhi did not consume animal flesh and often wore rags--along with the Buddha. King and Einstein were not flamboyant men who had very fine tastes in worldly possessions. That is what I meant.
No, what you have said is based on your prejudice towards atheists, including that we believe ourselves superior and we are "know-it-all" which is precisely why were wrong. My comments obviously reflect a great deal of respect for the wisest of humans REGARDLESS of their race, nationality or religions. I am sure we can agree pointing out irony isn't pretentious in the face of your bald hypocrisy. And, there is noting more cliche than a christian using "God Bless" as a kiss off to a nonbeliever.
Everything you have said sounds very pretentious. No two people experience the miracle of life the same way, try not to judge those who's shoes you have never walked in. God bless.
What bothers me about these people is their willingness to have children they can't afford, and have no problem mooching off the taxpayers, but then talk about living a godly life. Is it godly to reproduce without taking responsibility?
Very judgmental. But you think you're better than those who hold religious beliefs? Because the Buddha, Socrates, Gandhi, Einstein, and REV. Martin Luther King were ALL religious men.

I have the utmost respect for these believers. I couldn't do it. I believe everyone has the right to worship as they believe. Praise God for our nation that allows free worship!
Boy, run away from there as fast as you can!
It is the wisest men on this earth who have lived the simplest lives. God bless.

Y am I laughing so hard at this?? 😂😂😂😂😂
I live in Washington and your friend Jamie coots has touched our lives. We are very sorry for your loss. He was a great man.
Humility was also a hallmark of all those men. It is the wise who realize how little they really know.
You can't bring light to those who refuse HIM,your wasting time on dead men.
Call the cookie wagon!
Since when to preachers smoke?? I am going to blame the ridiculousness of this on too many instances of "grandpa-dad", "sister-mom"!

Jamie passed away...cody coots still takes up serpents...hamblin has been divorced and went to jail for shootin a gun but is back out and remarried and still taking up serpents
I disagree. This sums up the human condition. I think it's interesting, and unusual, which is what makes it so good to watch. lol

"God put me on this Earth to teach people."
- Andrew Hamblin
Indeed, Mr. Hamblin. Indeed. You're teaching people the dangers of inbreeding.

These are NOT Christians. This is doctrines of demons.
Humility, yes. Stupidity and superstition, no.
What bothers me about these people is their willingness to have children they can't afford, and have no problem mooching off the taxpayers, but then talk about living a godly life. Is it godly to reproduce without taking responsibility?
