"Fever" is a song which has been covered by several artists from diverse genres throughout many decades. It was written by Eddie Cooley and Otis Blackwell. The original recording artist was Little Willie John for his debut album in 1956. Peggy Lee's 1958 rendition has become the best known version and contained rewritten lyrics and an altered arrangement.
