Thank you to Etienne , it was a pleasure to catch up, as I live by mottos this is the one I sign off every vid with and preach to my kids , " Do What You Love & THE MONEY WILL FOLLOW"
Some of the best takeaways, "treating your trading like a business", "learning from your failures"... I've noticed that one of the most difficult things as a trader is to realize that if you worked for a company that says you can only take trades that follow these rules. You'd follow them. But when we are on our own we aren't as disciplined as we would be and we break our own rules. So by looking at our trading as a business. We can be more accountable to ourselves with our trades. And lastly, failing is just apart of the process. The question is, are you taking something from each failure? Most people don't really pay attention. Which is why imo Journaling is so important. If you can look back and look over your losses, you can usually find where you went wrong. At the same time, you can learn from your winners as well. The key is to always be evolving and be willing to evolve. Anyway, thanks for the upload. I love watching these interviews!
I have been saying that to a lot of people difference between capital and free capital ( capital you are allowed to lose and/or trade with ). on the 200k in almost any prop firm your max draw down is roughly 10% you trade with 20k but actually you trade with 10k which is the daily loss usually 5%...............but some people will still argue that is not accurate.............................unbelievable
FANTASTIC interview! I am a veteran Trader and this is one of the BEST interviews and insights on Trading I have ever seen! ALL the information that he gives I find to be 100% CORRECT! 😎
Thanks, Etienne, for having Gary on your channel. I'm a subscriber to your channel because you only interview serious traders that have valid information to share. Great to see you've added Gary to your channel. I've known Gary for 2 years now and love his disciplined approach and his no-nonsense approach to trading. He's an open book, nothing to hide, and puts it all out there to help as many traders as possible. Even though I've been involved in the currency markets since 2007, I try to catch as many of his videos as I can as I have to have good input into my process to be good myself and there is sooooo much crap out there to distract you. None of that from Gary.
Subscribed. Do you have any suggestions on good legitimate trade mentors that will be responsive? I own a business, realestate stocks and coins. But I'm really trying to learn to trade consistently. Many of the people out here are frauds or act like they are to busy even when you are paying them. Thanks!
He sounds like the Human resources department. How about some high probability trades dude. What do you have to offer traders?? 45 minutes of how wonderful and amazing he is and I have nothing to show for it.
do you personally use AXI , as i saw the link in the description? im curious because on forex army many people complain. i personally wouldl ike it because there is cfd shares and 24/7 crypto cfd on the same platform...but im afraid to use it because of the bad stuff i read on it (edit; i live in canada)
Trading is a professional SKILL that can be developed. Just like Tennis or Baseball or Acting. That “you either have it or you don’t…” mentality is such a crock of pompous “self importance” bullshit. There are more profitable traders than there are professional athletes.

Excellent advice - the drawdown limit is what to base my trading size on, take your time, be very selective. Thank you Scruffy & Etienne.
Great advice to break things down into it's smallest components. Perception is so important in this field..
