Instead of using real words for the keyword list I would prefer a sequence of randomly chosen letters of the whole alphabet. This spreads the letters over all 26 letters. To determine the number of letters in one "keyword" throw a regular dice and add 6 (or how much you want) to it. Then chose the letters from (let's say) a scrabble game. You don't need ten sides dices. You can use regular diced this way: you order the numbers 9 to 0 in five columns. First column 1-6 Second column 7-0, 1,2 Third column 3-8 Fourth column 9-0, 1-4 Fifth column 5-0 So you throw the dice twice: first for the column, second for the row. If you throw 6 first just repeat the throw. If possible change the table for enciphering regularly. So all in all the described method is good, but you have to distribute the key tables which is quite an effort. Thank you for your presentation!

The wheel was apparently only used during the Mexican American war and the Mexican Revolution. While OTP *technically* existed in 1882, it didn't see wide use until after the Mexican Revolution ended. Devices like this are a novelty now, facsimiles for cryptography nerds with disposable income. I may get one myself eventually...
