I'm so proud of Annabel! She's literally improved hugely over the weeks which I love, its totally what Strictly is about!! 🤩 Definitely expecting her to at least make the quarter finals, this was amazing!
It is unbelievable what the relationship between Johannes and Annabel can do. Johannes was able to extend her safety zone to an extent which is mind blowing. It is so beautiful to see this free and safe space between a student and her teacher! 🌱🕊🤗

Annabel probably has the biggest improvement curve of the whole group! I would never have expected to see her dancing like that after the first episode.

First of all, this is such an iconic piece of music for a paso. It brought back memories of me watching dance competitions as a kid, and the professional couples would most often dance the paso to it. And let me tell you, Annabel definitely did it justice! Such a great performance! She has improved so much, I’d love to see her in the finale.

Wow, I was not expecting this quality of dance from Annabel, but my goodness did she deliver. She was strong into the floor, grounded and balanced. Her shaping was imaculated and she was totally in the moment. I did not even recognize her she looked different. I loved the outfit I don't really have words to describe this dance it was so good!! Congratulations you deserve to be in the final!!👏💌🤩🌠

Annabel deserves to be in the finale. She is improving week by week. That's what this program is all about! For her, participating in the program is a form of therapy after these terrible events. She must be strong because her husband wouldn't want her to be unhappy. He's definitely proud of her.

He did a sob story Couples Choice to bounce back into the competition after the dance-off, but as the competition gets extra tight he'll most likely survive this week but will be gone against Layton next week (assuming Angela S leaves tonight). It'll be Ellie, Layton and Nigel/Annabel (whichever is more popular between the two).

Błagam by przez następne dwa odcinki tańczyła w obojętnej kolejności - quickstep, cha che i tango, żadnego couples choince. Bobby jeśli się na maksa przyłoży to też może się prześlizgnąć. Zbiera coraz szersze grono fanów, więc jakieś tam szansę na finał ma. Czego jej życzę, bo należy jej się takie docenienie jej ciężkiej pracy połączonej z chwilami załamania. Pokazuje innym, że nie można się poddawać i trzeba starać się żyć dalej po tragedii. Absolutnie nie chce żeby wygrała, bo to się należy Ellie. Wszystko zależy od ich następnych tańców.

This dance is my favourite of the year! I was jumping off my sofa and cheering and applauding at the tv. It was sooo good! There has been some amazing dances so far. But I just really wanted a brilliant, technically correct dance without all the fireworks (you know what I mean) and this dance was just perfect. ❤❤😊

Wow, the transformation Annabel has gone through is insane. You could read all the traditional Paso movements; she executed them brilliantly. I did agree with Craig, it did lack some fire to me, plus her face gave the impression that she was concentrating really hard on getting everything right.
Wow I’m surprised! With these dances, especially as she’s elegant I always thought she’d struggle! She always proves my thoughts wrong! Liked the intensity! Very nice! Indeed very nice!!! ❤. Johannes is always making it work! He’s a legend.
Any future contestants will hope to get partnered with Johannes, he's proven his worth to the show dancing with both men and women.
annabel does a lot of dress shaking but she deserves to stay! i think nigel might go this week, maybe in a dance off with angela but i9 t5hink she is too good to leave!! personally, i hope it's layton & nikita which would make the quarter finals very interesting! depending on what they are dancing to, obviously!!!

I clapped after watching Annabel's & Johannes' Paso Doble, I think I've only ever done that once before. They are an amazing team, I hope they win the show, if they don't win, their bond will be their biggest prize.

I started watching Strictly this year because of her, I really like her tennis commentary especially with Mats together. She's improved a lot and this dance was brilliant. 👏

I was a bit worried about Annabel doing the paso but I didn’t need to be. Every week she gets better and better and tonight her and Johannes were amazing. They deserve to win for sure ❤

I worried for her again this week but I needn't have, she smashed it! Straight down the base line!
She is the only person with a sporting background left in the competition. I think that's the key to her success. She does everything Johannes asks of her. Great coaching produces great results. I hope she makes it to the final and if she does it's well deserved.
Annabel said she believes her tennis background has really helped her dancing. Core strength, flexibility, coordination etc.
One of my favourite dances of the series. I love new twists on dances but I also like to see a more traditional format sometimes, especially in dances like paso doble that are the ballroom cousins of more 'liberated' folk dances like flamenco. A clever modern twist on traditional flamenco attire as well. At a completely personal level, which I am stressing because otherwise this may sound like an unkind comment, but I loved this even more because Annabel's 'look' reminded me so much of a flamenco figure I had as a child. I loved dance but was never able to pursue it and, for me, the flamenco was everything - unashamed, bold and vibrant. So, thank you for the empowering memory, Annabel, and I'm not suggesting that you looked like a flamenco figure - you were amazing!

I loved watching the dance between anabel and Johannes
She seemed to grow up out of the floor as she arched her back and raised her hands over her head. Ver powerful... dunno what Craig was on about (again). Really coming out of her shell, really elegant self effacing lady.
Her highest Score so far. I Love her Paso dobble. I had a feeling that their dance lasted ages.
I thought Annabelle definitely had some potential with a Paso but I did not expect her to give such a strong, controlled and dynamic performance.
Think going back to her roots with the Wimbledon reawakened something inside - she is now dancing to win and I gotta admit I love to see that. Bravo!

Annabel has shown some of the most improvement that I've seen from any celeb in recent years. It's truly night and day. She's finally getting to grips with the performances side of things. This was fierce, pair that down with a little bit more softness in the right moments and this would have been immaculate. 8

@@kerrieandrews Bobby has improved a lot, but had a brilliant performative energy right from the start and that's the hardest part to learn. Annabel had very little performance early on, half the time she wasn't even breathing. The turn around is staggering.
@@jakebowlertheatreYeah and even-though Bobby doesn’t have dance training, he does have performance experience.. Annabel literally has nothing, the fact she’s still making it competitive amongst trained performers is very impressive.

Annabel is old enough to be the mother of the remaining celebrity dancers. I think voting lines will be drawn on who people can relate to the most. I want Annabel & Johannes to win . He has absolutely unlocked her inner dancer and because she is so disciplined in training we are no longer surprised that she can turn in performances such as this Paso. They have total trust in each other and when you watch them you can't believe she had no prior experience. "Strictly" winners are not usually those with the dancing background, nor necessarily the youngest. Look at Bill Bailey. So it's definitely Annabel & Johannes for the win for me !.

You really can't beat a traditional Paso Doble, it's the best and the content in this was bearuful. So poised and upright, high kicks, drama, very difficult lunges and cape work in there, Annabel was feeling the music through every beat. The footwork was stunning, the partneting was exceptional, beautiful line and posture. It was fantastic, however it was missing some of my favorite Paso steps which is why I can't give a 10 but wow what a Paso! One of the best in years and just as good as Nigel's. Honestly, I could see Annabel winning, her improvement, journey and partnership is the absolute heart of strictly ♥
dont mean to be rude, but why deduct a point bc it doesnt have one of your fav moves? you shouldn't judge dances based on choreo, especially when its just bc its missing smth that you like

She definitely could challenge Bobby, Layton and Ellie if her choreography becomes more complex which it has. But I want more
@pennyandfishy7241 sorry but this is utter rubbish. You clearly do not understand the difficulty of thos routine to be claiming such nonsense. This was one of the most amazing Pasos I have seen in the show and out of it. The lunges themselves are a beautiful addition as were the promenade spins with FABULOUS perfect footwork. These are figures you don't always see included so it's a true delight. The expression, the circling tracks, the oval shape in the frame, the Cape work, the changes of direction and coverage of the floor were incredible. I hated Craig for his ridiculous remark about the lack of fire. Rubbish. The only thing I feel you could critique being ultra picky is there was a 2 second section where she seemed a touch out of step and was not dancing to her full height. Otherwise the use of her pointing leg in the marches, the arching of the back, even her armography were just fantastic. The ending could not have been better timed had it been 2 professionals. I am in awe of Johanes' teaching and choreography and I am in awe of Annabel's transformation into a bonafide contender in a cast full of younger people with experience and training.
Fun fact: This is the main Paso song to be used in dance competitions! I’ve been to several and never heard a different one for it. I don’t really know why tho lol.

God Dam two thing straight of the bat, one I never thought Annabel would get this far but I am glad she did and two that jump at the beginning of the dance there must be so much trust and friendship between these two if Annabel is sure that Johannes will catch her which thankfully he did do.
I think being a mature woman in the serious dances like Paso Doble and Argentine Tango helps because the woman looks more cooler and in control and being a mature woman Annabel looked cool and in control.
I didn't think this weeks dance was better than last weeks dance, I felt this dance needed more of an emotional push and I didn't like the yellow on Annabel's dress costume department what were you thinking.
having said that I did see a lot of emotion in Annabel and it showed the she was trying to get her emotion from herself to the dance which is good.
This pairing keeps getting better and better.

I noticed Johannes’ left-sided neck lymph nodes appeared to be swollen, something that had never previously stood out to me. When I mentioned it, my mum said she could see it too. If people could make him aware of this if he isn’t already that’d be great.

This is essentially what Strictly is about. Unfortunately, we demand to be entertained on a Saturday night, and so the producers are pushed into including celebrities who can dance or are dancers (mostly arts entertainment celebs). Annabelle is a tennis player. Yes, not the best dancer, but easily the best non dancer. She should win.

Nice!! Very lovely! Bit more of a basic Paso, but that's fine, it worked very well. I kinda see what Craig was saying about the fire and passion, but it's fine. She's an amateur. She's a tennis player, not a dancer. But that was so clean and flowed so well. I love how much Annabel has grown! I cannot believe she got a ten! I never would have thought it in the beginning of her journey! It's Johannes's magic!
For me the dance lacked oomph. The sharpness and drama wasn't there IMO.

Sorry but that's probably the most ridiculous comment I have ever seen you post. You clearly know zilch about paso. This routine was absolutely not 'basic'. It was one of the best Pasos on the show for years and years and incorporated difficult footwork, a very interesting and alternative timing pattern to the traditional music and the beginning dive, subsequent lunges of the tracking foot and the promenade spins were absolutely not as easy and simple as you are trying to claim. I do sort of feel that if Layton (an actual dancer) was not in this year I am sure people like you wouldn't be saying such utter tosh about Annabel and the other untrained contestants.

almost every week she makes my jaw drop. brilliant shaping, footwork and breath in the upper body. it got a bit stiff towards the end but this is definitely her best dance to date.

@@rosko_ky awful was a serious stretch, every week i keep underestimating her and assuming certain dances won’t suit her. this is the fifth or sixth week shes proven me wrong.
i don’t expect great things from her because she’s naturally introverted and shy, those qualities never help in latin dances.
