Re watching Alias for the 3rd time, as I haven'tseem it for about 15 years. On season two at moment, and my God! She is such an underrated actress. Her emotional acting is unrivalled!
This is the pivotal episode where they could have had Vaughn end his marriage to Lauren, as he acknowledged out loud that his love for Sydney was stronger than anything else. Continuing the Lauren/Vaughn relationship after this was just pointless melodrama. It was painful to watch someone as smart as Vaughn be manipulated by her.
I got so mad when they didn't kiss. It's like they both wanted to, even though it didn't seem right to do, him being married and all. But the fact that they were inches away was just another indicator that Lauren wasn't who Vaughn was truly in love with. And that only Sydney had his whole heart. ❤
