    The whistle 1309 is wearing is A southern Longbell 3 Chime from a southern Ts-1 Mountain Type Locomotive. Man it sounds good

    Why did the take the C&O whistle OFF for the C&O charter??

      It never had a C&O whistle on it. The hooter it had was an N&W one.

      I guess it’s just a worn out whistle.

      @@trainknut Its more than likely from a C&O Hudson. 765 wore an identical whsitle during the 1991 NRHS Convention

    Looks like a great photo shoot! To be honest, I wish they would keep #1309 in its Chesapeake & Ohio livery permanently.
