Game Preservation is not just about preserving games you like. Bizarre to see the video celebrating that some games are delisted - like Jump Force - especially considering how vocal GVG has been in the past about game preservation. The loss of any art, of any media, is never a cause for celebration.
Not to mention that by celebrating a games delisting he’s essentially stabbing those who worked on it in the back. Not all games are perfect but behind most of them are teams that really do care but are more often than not bound by the will of the publishers.
This isn't celebrating anything at all lmao, and any games that didn't require servers can still be found easily online and played on a modded console or emulator. This was just to make people aware that games can and will be delisted, even popular ones.
I enjoyed the video but I was thrown off by the comments saying you are glad that x game was delisted or who cares that x game got delisted. For me it felt a bit mean spirited especially for the purposes of this video. I'm not saying you should have to pretend to like some of these games but to basically say the game's value as a piece of art is so bad no one should ever play it again felt counterintuitive to the purpose of preservation. In my eyes all of these games deserve to still be available even if they seem bad or unwanted because there is still value in their existence. Whether that is as a teaching tool, to commemorate the hard work that was put into them, or to just satisfy the curiosity of someone who might want to play them one day. Again the video was good I just wanted to share my personal thoughts on those comments that make up a tiny portion of this video.
The scrubbing of 4J Studios' Minecraft Nintendo Switch edition is still so upsetting to me. Runs so much better on the Switch than the modern Bedrock edition :(
Dude yes! I'm furious the switch edition got delisted! I'm angry they killed it and the old Xbox one edition off before they could get update Aquatic and the older systems before them, the Wii U and Xbox 360 get update Aquatic! Wtf!? This move also killed my interest in Minecraft! This move by them pissed me off so much it killed my interest in the game! Bedrock Minecraft is horrible!
I still regularly play Legacy Switch Edition. Stopped getting updates right before the Phantom was released so I don't even care about the newer versions, and it ran sooooo much better than Bedrock Switch, and I can play as Waluigi. All those together makes it objectively the best version without a doubt :P
Even if you don’t like a game, saying you are glad it is delisted is pretty misguided, as you did for several of these. Especially from a channel that preaches game preservation.
Yeah not all games can be up to his arrogantly high standards. And regardless most of them are still made by people who genuinely care about their craft.
That's what you get when a game's engine has been upgraded for modern hardware, and the target platform in question was like a year old even when it was first released over seven years ago! I would say that the problem here is Nintendo failing to keep up with modern hardware as they ride high on the still-successful Switch. You see it all the time these days, and it's getting to the point even first-party Nintendo titles are showing the signs. This is hardly a problem with Minecraft.
@@UltraZelda64 Bedrock sucks on every platform, the console edition was actually optimised for switch, with bedrock it’s clear they hardly bothered. The same update on bedrock ran so much worse than the same update on console edition, because each console edition was specifically made for that hardware. The xbox one had an amazing version of minecraft, and when bedrock was introduced performance took a nose dive. The switch can run way more intensive games than minecraft
The snippy tone throughout this video is really rubbing me the wrong way. Sure, I might have never played some of the games featured here, but now I'll never be able to. There were actually a few games in here that I planned to look into eventually, in spite of any apparent lack of quality or hype around them. Beyond morbid curiosity or games that are "so bad they're good," even 6/10 games can make a lasting impression for one reason or another. A game doesn't have to leave ripples in the larger gaming zeitgeist to justify its existence. Bad Vibes Baming. By the way, saying these comments are "just a joke" isn't really the get out of jail free card you think it is. That's mostly because this video is humorless and you aren't very charismatic.
I don't think you should be saying that you're happy certain games are delisted. Games preservation is important and even critically panned games deserve to be preserved. It's an interesting topic and a well put together video but I hope future videos are more in line with the "Good vibes" I expect around here.
A while back Mojang was working to port Minecraft to a new engine that would truly make it cross platform. The new engine would effectively allow them to manage one codebase, and then with minimal changes just compile it for whatever target platform they wanted. Before this, there were entirely separate versions of the game; ex. the original PC version, the Nintendo Switch edition, the Xbox edition, PlayStation edition, etc. Each one was effectively its own codebase branched from the PC original, and there was a lot of duplication of work, with the developers having to "port" and test each new feature they wanted to add to each platform separately. Even bug fixes had to be separately coded into each platform "edition." Now with only one unified Minecraft built on the so-called "Bedrock" engine, every platform now runs the same "edition" of Minecraft and doesn't have to wait for bug fixes to slowly trickle down slowly from PC to consoles; they are now all effectively all first-class citizens. And with the future clearly being set, these old console-specific versions based on the old codebase had no reason to continue to exist. So of course, they were pulled from each console's storefronts. If I remember right, PC was first to officially make the switch to the new engine, and it was originally available as an alternate download option for PC during its testing phase. In its early days there were some things the old engine was just better at and there were some legitimate reasons for wanting to use it (other than the fact that the new version was still in testing). I'm sure most if not all of those things have been settled long ago as the Bedrock engine matured.
there are people who enjoyed Jump Force, myself included. bit of a jerk thing to be happy about a game being delisted just because it wasn't something you were interested in or liked.
Odd to me to see the video occasionally take such a mean-spirited tone. Even if a game doesn't click, it's still a lot of work from people that's now gone. That said, as someone who was big on Knockout City (and there are people who were big on Knockout City, for the record), the video forgot to mention that it _also_ has a free PC community build to run on custom community servers, if you happen to be interested.
You should never say "I'm glad this game is gone" especially when you say you've never played or heard of it. ALSO I've felt this way for awhile now...In my opinion the downfall of videogames are games that require an online connection/live service games, because Servers aren't forever...a lot of games are continuing to disappear because the companies that made them are moving on to other projects or for other reasons. OR I don't have money to pay for console subscription services to use online play, so to be completely locked out of playing a game OR ever some free demos from the PS store require a plus account because it's an online only game. The only forgiving for a game to be unlisted especially for an online/live service game is that a studio sadly get's shut down, or licensing issues...
Love the channel, and I watched through the whole video. However, while this script was largely well-made, this video is distinctly not a very good vibe with some of the more personal comments about liking that certain games got delisted. Even bad games deserve a spot out there, and you can still have a lot of fun with them. That Popeye game from this video is legitimately one of my favorite Switch games because it's so broken and ridiculous that with a big group of friends it absolutely kills. Lots of laughs and we all end up taking turns seeing how far we can last through it. That's more of the vibe I was expecting from this, but it wasn't really here unfortunately. Excited for future stuff from the channel!
Bit of feedback: it probably would have made more sense to group games in the list that are similar/have similar reasons for being delisted together rather than just having everything in alphabetical order as there are parts of the video where it feels like you are jumping around too much.
6:22 - As someone that actually owns this gane digitally on both PC and Switch, and HAS played it a few times on the latter... You can go screw yourself for saying that you're glad it's been delisted. Had you actually TRIED the game out beforehand, you'd be surprised at how fun this game can be on the console, especially in short bursts. It really did lead true to being "Splatoon Meets Tony Hawk" and it ended up being surprisingly better than expected for being something a Crayola themed scooter game. So again, screw you for being glad that a title that's not this bad at all is unplayable now. It really something that goes against the name of a channel called GOOD VIBES Gaming.😤 1:11 - Also, THIS right here? This is misleading as heck righr here since a lot of these games like Jump Force for insteance, which also screw you for that to add that game isn't even that bad at all either, nor too bad looking on the Switch, but games like that still ARE purchasable physically on Switch to this day. You just have to know where to look for the lot of them.
What about software that had next to no effort or passion put into it, like that horrible Popeye game? Or games that were just horrible in optimization and also stealing assets like Limbo of the Lost?
@@davidspraguedragonman6479The former. MAYBE. But the latter, yeah that's more debatable in itself but it's still worth preserving for the obscurity it's had.
@@keijijohnson9754I DO still agree, though, that even some bad games should be preserved, if not to show what not to do, how to have a better, more polished product, and how to avoid similar situations and receptions for the future!
yeah, they really need to stick Steve in the editing chair and stop letting him behind the camera in his own vids. He just isn't that well suited for content creation, let alone "good vibes", evidently
Why are we celebrating the delisting of games again, gvg? I mean, i get if you dont like something, but as someone who really champions preservation, this is disappointing to see from you guys. In general, maybe let this guy stick to the editing, his videos seem not to be what the audiance is looking for, especially if he acts like this
@DocSherbert 😂😂😂😂 basically… you're either for game preservation 100% no matter your opinion on the individual game or you're not… I don't like sports games(especially the sports I can play outside) but if it's on the system I'm buying for, I'll buy it like any other game, CIB(Complete In Box)…
Good Vibes gaming usually gives me, well, Good Vibes, and I was ready to defend the GVG guys here, but I was surprised by some of these responses. I would say the problem was with who they got to "celebrate" these titles. This felt like more of a personal review of each, which isn't bad, just not what this video should've been.
They are not about preservation of media and haven't been for years, they only care about selling stuff based on fomo. They're a company I expect this from because they aren't in it for preservation anymore. If something can't make them money they can and will drop it.
Their entire business focuses on physical. Digital is a minor part especially with how they sell on digital storefronts. From their point of view, the game is preserved by being on Switch carts /PlayStation discs. They'd probably keep it up if they had the choice but some licensors are not going to give it on friendly terms.
Fun fact about Cooking Mama: Cookstar, it seems that Planet Entertainment rereleased the game... kinda, There's a game called Yum Yum Cookstar on the eshop right now, published by PLANET ENTMT, and it looks to just be exactly like CM: Cookstar but with another woman taking the place of Mama.
From what I've seen of both, they're more different than just being the exact same game. I own the game on Xbox twice now, once because they made that free and had us keep it for the longest time until they took it out our libraries and made it unplayable, and the second time after that. They both have different scenarios going on when it comes to what occurred in both of them too all the while having similar gameplay to one another.
It really goes against this channel's namesake too. Between this and that Super Princess Peach video, there really go against their name sake completely.
Yeah I agree, the whole point of not delisting games and keeping them available is that every game even if it wasn't well received desserves to be preserved. Such dissapointing commentary to hear.
@@pacostasol8132 I don't think this video actually helps or hurts anything. It's more informational if anything. Once you express editorial commentary you're always open to criticism. I, myself, am on no inquisition. I don't believe games will be preserved and the only avenues for that will likely be illegal backroom solutions. I wish every game would remain in circulation big or small -- but it won't happen. I am, however, super disgusted by the mindset you're glad something is gone for someone else and have mentioned that. It's ick.
@@Kevdawg207 I fully agree with you, but why are people starting to use "ick" this way...? It makes them sound immature... Why not just say "gross" if it's gross?
21:48 this is technically wrong. Stranger Things 3: The Game can no longer be bought alone at any digital marketplace, but it CAN be downloaded and played on most mobile devices through Netflix Games if you have an active Netflix subscription. I just downloaded it on my iPad.
Crayola Scoot is actually a really fun party game with the right people, if you describe it as Tony hawk pro skater meets Splatoon. I’m glad I still have it downloaded.
PAC-Man 99 hurts me the most, definitely my favorite in the 99 series and didn’t find out about it shutting down until it was too late to buy the offline DLC :(
4:05 As an additional fact, the DX versions of the games are treated as "new" games, so any progress that you have will not carry over if you owned the original game then played the DX version. Same goes for the other platforms that also had the original Mysterious trilogy of games on, which were PS4 and PC. 5:56 What's funnier is that the game then released on PS4 a year after the Switch version was delisted, then the PS4 version got delisted too more than a year after. 13:10 A neat thing I heard about the game was that a separate version for PC was released that allows for private servers. Kinda like Spellbreak. 18:11 The weird thing is that the game is a re-imagining of Nintendo's Popeye arcade game.
Arr, if only there was some way to keep these treasures from sleeping in Davy Jones' locker and share it across the seven seas for any righteous sailor to enjoy.
There was also Retro Classix Collection #1: Data East. Published by Golem Entertainment. I only noticed because I still have it downloaded on switch, but when I went to try to check the e-shop page I noticed it was gone.
that one is still so weird to me. ALL the Data East games republished by Golem/Flying Tiger are gone. the biggest loss is Heavy Burger, which was a whole new original! what's even more strange, is most of these games are still available on Steam 🤔
@@kyloctopus What was said that was so offensive about Crayola Scoot? It did fail to make an impact. The only publicly available sales figures show about 1,600 copies sold.
For those unfamiliar, Overwatch 2 is quite literally just an update to the original Overwatch. Despite being marketed as a separate game, it uses the same app and updating the original Overwatch turns it into Overwatch 2. So not necessarily delisted, just rebranded (still unfortunate though)
Yeah, was kinda surprised overwatch was featured here for the reasons above. Actually a net gain now you no longer have to pay 40 dollars for the rebrand. I still say Paladins was more worthy of a mention as it's just plain gone for Switch users.
I happen to have the Stranger Things 3 game on my Switch and PS4 being a big fan of the series. It was rather shocking when I learned that it got delisted when my old friend wanted to get it.
You shouldn't be so happy about the de-listing of a game like the one at 11:30. Everytime a game is delisted without uproar, it makes it easier and easier to simply remove games from the public. You should make up your mind about weather or not removing games permanently is a good thing or not and stick to that line no matter if you like the game or not. Especially in the case where you didn't even try said game.
When you say you "borrowed" footage, how many of the sources gave prior consent? Or do you mean that you used their footage in a demonstrative manner, citing the source, but without prior agreement?
Good video, but yeah, the remarks about being happy games were delisted was pretty tone deaf. It sounded those remarks were only written to keep the script varied and interesting, but ot definitely missed the mark on who the audience for this video is.
kinda weird to celebrate Jump Force getting delisted, like yeah the game was mediocre as hell, but for a youtube channel that champions the preservation of games it did feel like an hypocrite statement.
Man idk what it is but every GVG video I watch it seems like the presenter misses on something according to the comments, like being happy about Jump Force being removed in this case.
Slight correction, Akatsuki no Kiseki isn’t specifically a spin-off of the Cold Steel sub-series. The Trails series in general is complex though so I can see how you’d make that assumption. The Trails of Cold Steel games are just a story arc in the Trails/Kiseki series. I’d even go as far as saying that the Trails/Kiseki series doesn’t really belong in the wider Legend of Heroes series (unless they somehow connect it later which wouldn’t surprise me at this point).
All games should be able to be preserved. Like them or not. Games i like may not be liked by others. Going all digital is bad for everyone. Its sad that they disappear
I respect the Missile command guys so much. I genuinely respect them for looking at their work, saying "hey, this doesn't meet my standard and it definitely won't meet yours, let me go back and fix this so that the players and I feel it's a satisfying title." and then going right back to work on a better version of the game.
Is a shame that video games are not eternal like music or movies, I can buy music from 50 years ago or buy in Walmart Any horror movie release more than 100 years
one game that was delisted (at least momentarily) was The Pinball Arcade, a free-to-play collection of real-world tables from real-world manufacturers like Gottlieb, Stern, Williams & Bally, featuring tables like Black Knight 2000, Terminator 2: Judgement Day, High Speed, Xenon, Doctor Who, & AC/DC. The game is still up; but all of those tables are no longer available simply due to FarSight Studios's license with Williams & Bally Tables lapsing, and AC/DC being the result of a seperate, limited-contract that was quickly signed in favor of a Kickstarter Campeign. The game was released in early April 2018, but was pulled the same day only to reappear over a month later taking a 100 table library to only 40 (which would tell you just how massive of a purge that was) with the all other versions removing their Williams/Bally libraries later in June. AC/DC was pulled from both The Pinball Arcade & the off-shoot Stern Pinball Arcade a year later. Tables like Funhouse, Attack From Mars, Theater of Magic, & Medival Madness are still playable, only on THE OTHER free-to-play collections like Pinball FX3, and tables like The Addams Family being available on the messier reboot built on a bed of broken promises, misunderstood monetization, & a rocky port: Pinball FX. Though given Zen Studios's Rocky ride under Embracer Group and Saber Interactive; who can say how long those will last.
Weird fun fact: Velan Studios (Knockout City, Mario Kart Live Circuit) is a studio that consist of former Vicarious Visions devs! Most of them being the Skylanders Swap Force and Superchargers crew, the ladder is why they had connections with Nintendo (with the Donkey Kong/Bowser crossover characters)
Great video Steve! I didn’t realize there were so many delisted games 😢 I will say though, I have to partially agree with the sentiment of certain comments here in terms of saying you were “glad” a couple of these games got delisted. Every other one was handled well, when you said some of the games you just weren’t a fan of, it’s important to have your own identity in these videos. But those few instances maybe could’ve used similar handling? Just a minor complaint in the grand scheme of things, it was well put together!
It’s time to finally get this off my chest; whenever people say that piracy is necessary for game preservation, all my life, I’ve understood it as preserving the ACCESSIBILITY to those games. While there are some cases where some games are genuinely preserved, that’s because even the original developers and/or publishers don’t have the game anymore. For everyone else, rereleases of old games are only possible because they preserve their games on their servers, or in Square Enix’s case, they fully commit to faithfully rebuilding the game from the ground up, like they did with Kingdom Hearts for example. Look at Nintendo. They had the English version of Mother 1 and the final version of Star Fox 2 sitting in their servers for decades before finally releasing them to the public in 2015 and 2017, respectively. And Star Fox 2 is very noteworthy because despite the game being cancelled, they still wanted to finish it due to already being so close to the finish line, so they put in the finishing touches and got it fully localized, and then just left it in their archives. And for the SNES Mini, someone convinced them that it was the perfect time to finally let it see the light of day. So who knows? If all of the games listed here are still on the servers of their developers and/or publishers, we could potentially see rereleases someday. But don’t hold your breath for the REALLY bad ones. And the ones delisted for licensing reasons.
I have both the original Atelier Lydie & Suelle and the DX version, and there was really no reason to keep the original available outside of confusing potential customers. DX is a much better looking and running version of the same game with all DLC included and new content made for the occasion.
No mention of Paladins? It was the one game to get my Overwatch fill before Overwatch released on Switch. Yeah it's a free-to-play game, but the other examples here are also games that are free to download. I just find it an interesting example as it's still an ongoing live service game that simply cut ties with the switch version.
What happened to both Minecraft Xbox One and Nintendo switch edition has pissed me off so much! Im still furious to this day why they would kill off the better running versions of them game in favor of the crappy Bedrock Edition! What angers me the most is they killed them off before they could receive Update Aquatic and the previous consoles before that being the Wii U and Xbox 360 did get update Aquatic! Wtf!! This move by them completely killed my interest in Minecraft! I loved the console editions on both of those platforms and it makes me so angry how they left the switch and xbox edition outdated without update Aquatic and the Wii U, PS3 and Xbox 360 all get it but then update Aquatic was those consoles final update and then you know the feature where tou can transfer your worlds feom the older console to the new console? Such as Xbox 360 to Xbox one and Wii U to Switch? They completely broke that! They broke it because the Wii U and Xbox 360 which are older consoles has newer versions of the game while the newer consoles have an outdated version of the game forever! This still makes my blood boil to this day! Completely killed off Minecraft for me. I despise modern Minecraft on Bedrock. Its playing a mobile game on a console!
why are there more videos about being happy on being mean on a game? first it was super princess peach and now jump force, this is a strange thing to be experiancing on good vibes.
A similar topic worth its own video is Switch games like Astronite that are impossible to complete due to never getting updated to address known issues.
Talking about being happy about delisting means you're getting unsubbed. I see no benefit to this channel as others provide more use. So much for having Good Vibes for Gaming.
Should games that were replaced with a different version of the same thing count? Outside of preservation, a DX version in most cases is close enough to the original experience. But with Minecraft: Story Mode, I don't see why that couldn't be reinstated someday. How hard could it be to make a deal with the new TellTale to have it come back? As for Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light, there's a chance we could see it added to NES Online in Fall 2025. And as for Super Mario 3D All-Stars, I still say we could see it return as part of some kind of future Nintendo Selects line.
I'm lucky I had found out a week before bedrock released that the 4J studios classic console switch version was gonna be delisted, and those who bought it also got the new version for free. I (back then) bought it as a "hey i get 2 ways to play minecraft, neat!" Im so glad all these years later i bought it when i could
Good thing that this is rather easy with Switch games. Hell, even games I buy... I might as well just play on something other then my Switch, while I'm at it, since they run better that way. And with the way Nintendo is behaving in the last few years, I wouldn't blame anyone that is pirating Nintendo games out of principle. It's kinda shitty in a way, but very much understandable.
So much for "good vibes" lol, celebrating the delisting of hard working developers, even if the end product is sub par. Bad for preservation, bad for the industry, but who cares, GVG didn't like the game, so lets celebrate that its gone!
Another worthy mention is Girls und Panzer Dream Tank Match DX. Not sure if it was delisted per se, but it's only available as an Asian copy with English subs and digitally in their servers.
I wish Spellbreak had a single player game. It was fun, movement was great and the world was pretty neat to explore. Only you couldn't since it was all wrapped up in the battle royale gameplay, which I never really connected to. I wanted to love that game, but not surprised it's gone now.
Sincerely is really sad seeing you say "good riddance" to the disappearing of a game to then say "this one stings" who are you to decide what should or not stay available? No media should be lost.
Yeah the arrogance of this guy is truly sickening. Having a game be delisted is never a fun thing and seeing him celebrate people’s hard work being thrown in the dumpster is just pathetic.
Ah man I completely forgot about Whip Whip, because I really wanted to get it early in the Switch's life, but I just completely forgot about it when I got delisted. I guess I should of got it when I had the chance
Yep, you should have. I stalled a good while too, but couldn’t get it out of my head. So cute, whimsical, and arcadey. Still got it like 3 or 4 years. Fun game, hope you can at least get it in Steam.
Jump Force got nominated for best fighting game at the VGAs the year of its release. It had no chance of winning, but still. I picked up the complete version on Steam for cheap before the delisting, but I still haven't played more than the demo. That darn FOMO kicked in XD
One important note about the Cooking Mama game, there was also a bunch of controversy around the game mining crypto using your Switch’s APU and being forwarded to the developer’s wallet.
Some of these games I get, because of licencing agreements ending without renewal or because IP rights changes. But some of them are just forced scarcity for the sake of increasing sales within the allotted time window. Like sure, I get not selling a physical version of Super Mario 3D All-Stars after the first year. But why did the digital version need to be taken down?
7:07 Having Jon's uncomfortable smiling head all over the naughty parts fits so well after the PWV(Plush Wiglett Video)... 7:58 If I really wanted to play Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light I would go with Sephie's german translation patch anyway. But given I already think the DS Remake is clunky and not very fun that's unlikely. 17:39 Funfact about Overwatch. I bought the boxed download code off Real,- (now defunct smaller retail chain) when they shuddered their store in my town after Overwatch was already down. Why would I do this? It's one of the game that comes with a "free" three month membership for NSO. So I got twenty euros worth of Subscription for 12. 20:49 Well the people clearly didn't fellow through on the call of the Proletariat this time. But the Devs did the due diligence given their name.
yea, the guy with the deep voice (his voice is actually deep, no after effects etc. involved, sorry) is actually better. Sorry bro, you need to step away and do something you are knowledgeable of.
Another high profile Switch delisting worth mentioning is the original Octopath Traveler. But according to Nintendo’s support page, the game will be coming back on the eShop “soon.” As of this writing, that still hasn’t happened yet.
It's truly a shame. Some of these were also heavily publicized and now they are basically lost media. At least one third of these are because of shut downs of servers and services, so fortunately if the corresponding UE petition comes to pass those "shutdowns" will not be an issue anymore.

Even bug fixes had to be separately coded into each platform "edition."
Now with only one unified Minecraft built on the so-called "Bedrock" engine, every platform now runs the same "edition" of Minecraft and doesn't have to wait for bug fixes to slowly trickle down slowly from PC to consoles; they are now all effectively all first-class citizens.
Yeah plus before it was delisted they threw it on a very nice discount which that jerk also conveniently forgot to mention.

Yeah, this sucks. Idk if he was trying to be "funny" but bad vibes are not it.
They have been doing it for awhile. No wonder why I stopped watching them. Maybe not an opinion everyone agrees on, but eh.
Odd to me to see the video occasionally take such a mean-spirited tone. Even if a game doesn't click, it's still a lot of work from people that's now gone.
That said, as someone who was big on Knockout City (and there are people who were big on Knockout City, for the record), the video forgot to mention that it _also_ has a free PC community build to run on custom community servers, if you happen to be interested.
that's actually pretty cool
It really something that goes against the name of a channel called GOOD VIBES Gaming.😤
1:11 - Also, THIS right here? This is misleading as heck righr here since a lot of these games like Jump Force for insteance, which also screw you for that to add that game isn't even that bad at all either, nor too bad looking on the Switch, but games like that still ARE purchasable physically on Switch to this day. You just have to know where to look for the lot of them.
saying you're glad that some software you dislike got delisted is scummy. maybe jon would've been more positive as he normally is 🤷
What about software that had next to no effort or passion put into it, like that horrible Popeye game?
In general, maybe let this guy stick to the editing, his videos seem not to be what the audiance is looking for, especially if he acts like this
I'm disappointed that a channel that allegedly claims to be pro-games preservation is celebrating the loss of games they personally don't like.
its just watchmojo for gamers man
@DocSherbert 😂😂😂😂 basically… you're either for game preservation 100% no matter your opinion on the individual game or you're not… I don't like sports games(especially the sports I can play outside) but if it's on the system I'm buying for, I'll buy it like any other game, CIB(Complete In Box)…
I never thought I'd see the day where Limited Run Games of all companies would delist anything.
Edit: Ah. Licensing issues. Of course.
The entire modus operandi of Limited Run is limited time games?
Limited Run Games is an anti-consumer company, they're the worst.
guess it was a "limited run" huh... I'll see myself out
Fun fact about Cooking Mama: Cookstar, it seems that Planet Entertainment rereleased the game... kinda, There's a game called Yum Yum Cookstar on the eshop right now, published by PLANET ENTMT, and it looks to just be exactly like CM: Cookstar but with another woman taking the place of Mama.
Thanks for the heads up. I borrowed cookstar from the library, and would like something similar for my collection.
Slight correction, the series is JUST the Trails series, or Kiseki.
Cold Steel is just simply an arc within the series and not the series itself.
This whole commentary of "I am glad games are gone" is disgusting. You gain nothing as you weren't playing them and someone else lost something
Maybe we can try being a little less inquisitorial about game preservation. At least on a video made actually helping game preservation.

Nice
Crayola Scoot is actually a really fun party game with the right people, if you describe it as Tony hawk pro skater meets Splatoon. I’m glad I still have it downloaded.
Omg and Killer Queen Black! Also a fun local multiplayer game. Glad you didn’t hate on that one.
PAC-Man 99 hurts me the most, definitely my favorite in the 99 series and didn’t find out about it shutting down until it was too late to buy the offline DLC :(
Oh you can't buy the offline DLC anymore, too? Ok that sucks 😢

Very disappointed in this channel celebrating the delisting of certain games.
To say your happy that something is D-Listed when this channel totes on about game preservation is such an ass backwards thing to say
I have both the original Atelier Lydie & Suelle and the DX version, and there was really no reason to keep the original available outside of confusing potential customers. DX is a much better looking and running version of the same game with all DLC included and new content made for the occasion.
That's the one scenario I can actually see praising a delisting.
This video would be great if it wasn’t for all the shade and snark thrown at some of these games. Why call yourself good vibes gaming if you aren’t?

That part about Spellbreak hurts... it was literally one of the first games I installed on my Switch...
I'm lucky I had found out a week before bedrock released that the 4J studios classic console switch version was gonna be delisted, and those who bought it also got the new version for free. I (back then) bought it as a "hey i get 2 ways to play minecraft, neat!"

Since i found out that Champions of Vestroia was delisted digitally, i bought the physical version instead.
For some of these games - but especially the artificially "limited games" from Nintendo - my mantra is: You don't let me buy it? Fine. I'll pirate it.

These guys should have really thought out a better sounding name for their channel because "Good Vibes" ain't it.
The Switch won’t overheat because of a Cooking Mama game. That was just a myth that the internet made up. Sad to see you guys fall for such nonsense.
I have the physical version of that game, and can confirm it never made my switch catch fire
@@That_Lady_Charlie Yeah that crap came from the same morons who claimed that the game would harvest cryptocurrencies which was also debunked.
Another high profile Switch delisting worth mentioning is the original Octopath Traveler. But according to Nintendo’s support page, the game will be coming back on the eShop “soon.” As of this writing, that still hasn’t happened yet.
AFL Evolution 2 was delisted on the switch last year. Like other sports games, was delisted due to licensing issues
It's truly a shame. Some of these were also heavily publicized and now they are basically lost media.
At least one third of these are because of shut downs of servers and services, so fortunately if the corresponding UE petition comes to pass those "shutdowns" will not be an issue anymore.
Is this some sort of early April fool joke? This is not a good vibes feeling video.
