Lovely video! 🌹I absolutely love the dry down on the Elf product. It’s totally dry smooth and tack free. Would love to try the Catrice if you think the finish is tack free as well. (I typically don’t powder my face for daytime wear) It’s coverage was very nice and was very impressed with its longevity. TYVM
I think I would take Catrice over Elf. I live the Catrice Under Eye Brightener Instant Awake. I actually just ordered my second one. Great video and always good to hear your voice. Definitely not enjoying heat and humidity here in Ohio ❤

What did you have on your lids and under your eyes before you put your makeup on? I too live in TN and the heat here index has been 106-110 some days so I don’t think any makeup will hold up in that heat.

I just tried the elf this morning because I had seen Patti's video and I like it. But when you said "if you like the elf but don't love it, try the Catrice", you convinced me. I bought the Catrice a while ago after you first talked about it. And I love it! Just as good or better than other more expensive foundations I've used over the years. And I've tried a lot. So affordable. I've been satisfied with all the Catrice products I've used (blush and under eye highlighter as well). Being so affordable wouldn't be enough if the quality wasn't there but it is. Definitely recommend.
Hi Melissa I think the Catrice looks better on you and lasts longer. I did try the Catrice last year when it released in Europe but unfortunately it wasn’t great on my very dry skin- it wasn’t terrible but it wasn’t great. However I live in Scotland where the climate is very different and I have extremely dry skin with rosacea and eczema (my shade is 002 btw). It did get a bit of hype here when it was released, but Catrice overall has had less hype in the US since it left Ulta. Best wishes x
We’ve had some awfully high humidity here in East Tennessee. I wear the Catrice one quite often, switching with Double Wear, in our summer heat. I agree with a previous comment for wearing the e.l.f. foundation in cooler months 🩷

Hi Melissa I loved the Elf ...it may be my now favorite. I think I need to revisit Catrice. It was the wrong color and I did not feel like it spread with my fingers well. There's several foundations I like better than Elf for my 64 year old skin and one of them is the Catrice. Tried the Catrice and did not like the finish. It looked very dry on me and maybe the color was too light. Sent it back. I also got the Skinceuticals serum C with Ferulic acid so we will see how that works. I read some reviews saying that it smelled like hotdogs...LOL. Oh well, if it works on me I'll just skip the chili! ..LOL
I’m in Nashville and we finally got a little bit of rain here this morning. Ugh. It’s been yucky. I’ve looked for the Soft Glam at drug store and couldn’t find it. I use an elf foundation, the Flawless, and elf concealer already. I also like the elf Camo, especially when I need more coverage. I’ll check the Catrice. I’ve never used that type of foundation before. I’m like you in that I don’t powder my face anymore so a foundation that still wears well all day is a must! Thanks for showing us new things!

How come the side by side comparison photos show 2 totally different lightings, the Catrice one brighter and more focused whereas the Elf one duller and less focused? I can’t tell for sure which one is better because of the lightings. But both look good on your beautiful face, regardless! 👍

The Carice won. It's a German comoany. I buy it here in Israel, and iy's a great one and a low price. I use the same shade. Enjoy your summer. It is hot in Israel too (a.c. is a must).
Melissa I just looked up Catrice and I think I will try it! They don’t test on animals ( I won’t buy anything that is) and since it’s made in Europe it does not contain the chemicals that US makeups do. Last weekend I went to a family party and it was so humid. I was wearing bare minerals com tinted moisturizer. BAD Idea!! When I got to the car my face what white as a ghost!! All my makeup melted off!!! 🙄🙄🙄! So I will try Catrice. Thank you!!❤

Great video, it's really helpful. I've got both of these foundations, and I also like them both. But I find I've been wearing the Elf all over, as it's less drying to me then I add a bit of the Catrice on my spots where I need more coverage. Cheeks mainly. This is working well so far.
I'm wearing the Elf foundation in the same shade as you for the first time today. So I'll have to see how it goes. I did have to add a drop of a lighter foundation I have to lighten it up just a touch. Honestly, I needed a new foundation like a whole in my mind, but it's so cheap I decided to try it. Honestly I always like my higher end foundations better like Dior, Armani, CIele and smashbox. Anyway, you look great and I'm glad you like the Catrice and ELF.

Hi Melissa I think the Catrice looks better on you and lasts longer. I did try the Catrice last year when it released in Europe but unfortunately it wasn’t great on my very dry skin- it wasn’t terrible but it wasn’t great. However I live in Scotland where the climate is very different and I have extremely dry skin with rosacea and eczema (my shade is 002 btw). It did get a bit of hype here when it was released, but Catrice overall has had less hype in the US since it left Ulta. Best wishes x

We’ve had some awfully high humidity here in East Tennessee. I wear the Catrice one quite often, switching with Double Wear, in our summer heat. I agree with a previous comment for wearing the e.l.f. foundation in cooler months 🩷

Hi Melissa I loved the Elf ...it may be my now favorite. I think I need to revisit Catrice. It was the wrong color and I did not feel like it spread with my fingers well. But wow, the end result on you was the Catrice won. In those views you coukd easily pass for forties. I love how you can do your hair so many ways. ❤❤❤❤

There's several foundations I like better than Elf for my 64 year old skin and one of them is the Catrice. I also love Mistine $7. that's available on Amazon and is owned by the same company who makes the TirTir Cushion foundation.

I love these you tube clips - my sons got a very unique job- he’s a Mortician and brings me home some incredible make up they use on dead bodies. It’s great - does not run and stays looking fresh for days.

Tried the Catrice and did not like the finish. It looked very dry on me and maybe the color was too light. Sent it back. I also got the Skinceuticals serum C with Ferulic acid so we will see how that works. I read some reviews saying that it smelled like hotdogs...LOL. Oh well, if it works on me I'll just skip the chili! ..LOL
I’m in Nashville and we finally got a little bit of rain here this morning. Ugh. It’s been yucky. I’ve looked for the Soft Glam at drug store and couldn’t find it. I use an elf foundation, the Flawless, and elf concealer already. I also like the elf Camo, especially when I need more coverage. I’ll check the Catrice. I’ve never used that type of foundation before. I’m like you in that I don’t powder my face anymore so a foundation that still wears well all day is a must! Thanks for showing us new things!

How come the side by side comparison photos show 2 totally different lightings, the Catrice one brighter and more focused whereas the Elf one duller and less focused? I can’t tell for sure which one is better because of the lightings. But both look good on your beautiful face, regardless! 👍

The Carice won. It's a German comoany. I buy it here in Israel, and iy's a great one and a low price. I use the same shade. Enjoy your summer. It is hot in Israel too (a.c. is a must).

Melissa I just looked up Catrice and I think I will try it! They don’t test on animals ( I won’t buy anything that is) and since it’s made in Europe it does not contain the chemicals that US makeups do.
Last weekend I went to a family party and it was so humid. I was wearing bare minerals com tinted moisturizer. BAD Idea!! When I got to the car my face what white as a ghost!! All my makeup melted off!!! 🙄🙄🙄!

Great video, it's really helpful. I've got both of these foundations, and I also like them both. But I find I've been wearing the Elf all over, as it's less drying to me then I add a bit of the Catrice on my spots where I need more coverage. Cheeks mainly. This is working well so far.

I'm wearing the Elf foundation in the same shade as you for the first time today. So I'll have to see how it goes. I did have to add a drop of a lighter foundation I have to lighten it up just a touch. Honestly, I needed a new foundation like a whole in my mind, but it's so cheap I decided to try it. Honestly I always like my higher end foundations better like Dior, Armani, CIele and smashbox. Anyway, you look great and I'm glad you like the Catrice and ELF.
Love the Catrice foundation and how beautifully it lasted throughout the day. I think the Elf foundation would wear nicely for the cold winter months. ❤️🌺
