Rick is the only one who would bargain over his own funeral....
After he died.
@Dafyd Maddz 🤣🤣 👍
Can you do $50?
Dormammu I've come to bargain
Rotterdanner the best I can do is a white bed sheet😃👻
Most would he pay for his funeral is 12 k and he’s taking a risk there
Pretty sure that toy never left the toy shop. Cool to see one that old in that condition. Was fun to watch. Great video
Can you do $1300? Literally $100 difference..
Rick: *SIIIIIIIIGHHH
I will say it again: I will never forgive my mom for throwing all my toys out!!!
i threw my own cards out... which i regret every day
I'm 61 and a lot of these toys I recognize.
@@ralphholiman7401 stay strong brother
Delta Homicide same I threw away some of my old GameCube games because I thought hey didn’t work anymore but it was actually my GameCube that didn’t want to read certain discs anymore
Me too. I loved to keep my toys that were gifts while the ones I bought were to be used. In 1959 I got a gift that was a 1959 FORD Skyliner retractible friction toy that was around a 1/18 scale . The car was black with a Red Roof and it did what the real car did for the Roof going into the trunk and then comes back out to the start position .
Typical tin car with a printed interior and plastic steering wheel , it and other item were given away or tossed in the garbage.
Also had a wad of 1950's hockey cards given to me by an older person plus there 1940's dinky toy racing cars .
Thanks mom.
“Sir, I’m gonna have to fine you $275 for speeding”
“Best I can do is $20, taking a big risk here”
lmao
This really is the best one
Could you do $35?
Jim Smith Best I can do is 15, I’m taking a big risk here
@@pizzawingmans9780 Sweet!!! Leave your driver's license on the dash along with your insurance cards,; and I'll meet you right over there so we can write this up.
They should come up with something other than "holy grail" to describe a unique find.
Slammy555 “The holy Grail” is the holy grail of describing unique things. I heard it from Mr. Brown. We got along famously.
Jesus comes in with the holy grail, Rick says "Wow, this is the tin space toy of holy grails."
That would be the holy grail of unique descriptions.
Watch Knightfall on Netflix and you'll understand.
In the collecting world, there’s no other word we use... though depending on the value and the market, we could go with “sought after”
Toy Store Owner: Please keep your hands off the glass, thanks.
Rick: Puts entrire weight on it.
I feel Rick is the kind of guy I wouldn’t trust with any of my valuable items.😂🤣
Queen’s Puppet Pal Why?
If we find valuable items for ridiculous prices, we'll buy that immediately. At least sometimes Rick tell the owners the actual prices. Its fair to buy niche things for lower prices for pawn shop, Most pawn shop only accept silver n gold since its easier to find buyers.
Welcome to the desperate for cash and need some now world of pawn, lol
And this list of your valuable items are what?
Rick is alright, he’s just a good businessman
it's crazy how much money people spend for collection and nostalgia.
It probably makes more sense if you replace "collection and nostalgia" with "good feelings."
When people gets old, they wants something that back in their childhood. 🤟
@@shawnyap9358 this is what i mostly do. i don't mind spending $100 to $200 on toys but i wouldn't even go near $500. here in my country, you could buy a decent used car for $2500.
I mean if you have that much money what else are you gonna do with it
Drugs are no different. People pay thousands to get that "good feeling" same with hookers and adrenaline adventures. It's all about tapping into dopamine. And it's also about owning and having something not many people have, or a no longer in existence and you being one of the few who has it or found it cheap.
They should air the paperwork process at least once.
Jos Kirin It is illegal in Nevada to film a real pawn shop transaction. With this show the sales happen earlier, and probably with a different employee. After the sale is complete the show’s spotters approach the person about appearing in a segment. The expert’s are lined up by the show (or not, depending on the story they intend to tell). They then go to the set, fill it with fake “customers” for the background activity, then bring in the star who will be the one making the purchase in the segment, then the film it with everyone pretending to be making a deal. The whole expert thing does not happen in the real purchase, but is filmed for the fake segment to add interest for the viewers. Research assistants do the googling so Rick has info at hand to look like he knows what he is talking about. The expert has already handled the item and done some research so they look like they know what they are talking about. What you see is story telling. It is all an illusion for TV. It has to be that way to satisfy the law. So showing the actual paperwork process is not going to happen.
You must be a big fan of watching paint dry then
Risky deal. No sh*t. He asked his buddy over the phone and bought it for 50% less.
My thought
It's always set up that way
+Vievek Kapur It would be kind of difficult to do that over the phone... The whole point of having an expert come in the shop instead of making a price on the phone or with pictures on Watsup is that the expert needs to see the product, to check if it is legit or is a forgery, see it's condition, etc.
I assume you work for a company that pays you a wage, and they also do not sell anything for the best price they can get, nor do they buy things as the best price they can get. And you always put your money, if you have any, in a bank paying the least, right?
When you just wanna get some quick cash and Rick starts giving you a history lesson lol
AND IF HE HAD THE BOX,,,
“Well the box really is not a big deal” says Rick!!!!!
They always say "ill meet ya over there" then walk the other way. Im sure he has to go around the counter. Just looks funny cause everytime they buy they do it.
04:23 "Please keep hands off the glass, thank you"
"What do we have here?"
"A used straw from McDonalds circa 2013"
"That's a holy grail..."
That’s actually so funny, no one else noticed how he said to the seller it’s in bad condition then when he got it checked he said it was in really good condition 😂
Raindrop, droptop, I'm Rick Harrison and this is my pawn shop
Its not his pawn shop
Sign in toy shop: "Please Keep Hands Off Glass." next shot, Rick has hands on glass...
Bought for $1250, then Rick will sell for $3000 bucks.
That's why Rick is in the business. Good purchase
Dunno hard to get 3k for it i see them selling at 1k-1200 GBP, paid 860 for mine so not sure on that price tag with the box its different but stand alone it seems kinda high.
Probably costs Rick about 150k per year just to open the shop. I would want to make 300% on everything I buy. I think the guy did okay
Nah, he'll put it on the shelf at $10k.
No he’s in business because he gets paid millions from the history channel and has staged customers... smh why do people talk like it’s an actual business still ?
“ I think I know enough about this toy to scam this guy”
3:31 minecraft creeper
“Please keep your hands off the glass :)” proceeds to put phat hand on the glass
*I strive to have as many buddies as rick*
I used to have at least as many as him. Everyone knew me and wanted to be my friend. I wish I could go back in time and have that again
Charles Johnson you good bro?
ツCalvin that’s impossible I’m pretty sure he has a buddy machine in the back where he just spawns buddies
0? 😅
Please leave hand off the glass.
Rick my hands are on the glass 🤣🤣🤣
“My buddy’s not around” is basically him saying “I called him and I know the price, so I’m going to lowball you without him coming in here to inform you”
Ric Flair had the SPACE MOUNTAIN TOY! WOOO!!
did anyone else wonder what that scream was at 0:25 it sounded like someone just got hit with glass
Rick talked to his expert in the back and the expert told him its worth a million dollars. Then this happened. 😂
3:30 Creeper, aww man
3:32
Awwww Mannnnn
Priest: Say10 Hail Mary's and your sins will be forgiven my son.
Rick: I'll give you 2. That's the best I can do.
Certified Gold!!!!!!
"buddy not around" How did Rick know my life story!?
Everytime you come get better and better! That's what she said
And the irony. Guy watching this episode and he's probably kicking himself in the butt saying all sorts of cuss words 😀😀😀
Really good shape???? I thought they were some scratches when he bought it..😃🤣🤣and he still took the risk
Rick always says he is taking a big risk on every items he bargains for. Haha
3:39 aww man
Rick being petty lmao 4:01
I remember having toys similar to that one. I’m sure they where made in Japan. Wish I kept them
3:33 creeper AW MAN
Pawn stars is the only show about ppl who never heard of ebay, letgo or anything and go to pawn shops for the highest price.
Love these videos bro
“Let me call a guy that can rip you off about 75%” do you have some time to wait?
If Rick's not sure about the price (like in this case), he'll always heavily underpay, because it's genuinely a gamble. That's to be expected. I don't know why people call this a ripoff or even "daylight robbery", it's a business for Christ's sake.
Lmao
Customer : I need one dollar change
RICK: best I can do is 33 cents and I'm taking a huge risk
Customer : dies
Cool Boy let me get a buddy of mine that knows all about making change😅😒
Seen this too many times
You made my day lol
🤣😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Meet Chum at the far counter and he'll count out your change, all 20 cents of it.
"holy grail" 😂😂😂
The sign says: " Pls! keep hands off the glass" and yet Rick is .....
“Rick robs a guy” good alternate title.
He saw a lamb ...went in for the hustle
rick's laugh is iconic
Good story behind it

Best day of your life....dude, sorry to hear that...my condolences, get a hobby, drink a slurpee, peel a potato....something...wow
WeAreWatching Why do you say such terrible things which aren’t appropriate
Sleazy Rick
I used to be have that one when I was a child .. and those hot wheels in other episode .. and I broke them all ..
At Toy Shack: Please keep hands off glass. Thanks
Rick: Hands on glass the whole time he's there.
Seller: 'I think I've got a rarity here.'
Rick: 'You don't have the box...Buyers are hard to find...We never went to Mars...I'll give you a buck twenty...I'm taking all the risk here.'
Why the guy look like he was gonna cry 😂
I would probably come back when the expert is available.. Haha
When rick laughs smoke comes out.
My great grandpa has one of these but it’s a green rocket ship
mr chum and i plays with this toy famously
3:34 creeper aw man
Lol rick doubles his money on a riskey deal. It's always a risk with him yet he always robs people
The seller offered too much info
He should have just said "I saw it listed at 5 thousand but I know you need to make some money."
Expert on vacation☺
When a tin toy car is worth more than your actual car.
ITS WILd HOW THESE KATS KNOW THE HISTORY OF EVERYTHANG dAT PPL bRING IN THEIR SHIZOP!
Creeper in the background lol
Dont forget that he still has to put it in a nice frame
"so my buddies not around" holy cow that's like the first time his buddy ain't ever around when he's in need
My dad always told me that something is worth what somebody is willing to pay.
Customer: I have Freddie Mercury’s piano.
Rick: I can give you a few bucks tops this kind of thing just won’t sell I’m taking the risk here. How about $50 bucks?
Customer: Walks away
Rick: So.... deal?
another one bites the dust 🎶🎵🎶
Wow this is so awesome and cool 😎
4:58 OOU
This was uploaded 2 hours ago and only has 4k views... HOW
Ricks family is held hostage
Hostage taker: we will give you your family back for 10,000 dollars
Rick: best I can do is 20 dollars but I’m still taking a big risk
5:02 anyone else see the creeper In the back
The guy said he searched every where about it and could not find it but he did not know what it even was
Rick: It's very good condition, extreamly rare, super collectable och it the holy grail!
...but I have too resell it so how bout I scam you instead?
Its true.. all the toys and figures I had that are now probably worth thousands I either destroyed or gave away unknowingly lol
love this show.. just remember.. he may of doubled his money on this deal but i've sure the doesnt on every deal...
Rick: How much for the lambo?
Car dealer: $500,000

Not Little knowledge is dangerous thing
But
Having half knowledge is dangerous thing
that's a "ricksy" deal :))
Does this make anyone else want to go buy a “vintage” toy? *Opens EBay*
of course, you see what prices they actually sell for, not ask for......
Rick goes double and offers half of what it could be...
Rick: What do we have here?
Seller: Not sure...it’s a cup with miraculous powers that provide happiness, eternal youth, and sustenance in infinite abundance. I believe it’s an item of great significance...
Rick: Not interested.
Anyone else look forward to hearing Rick’s sighs? 😂 $1300? SIGHHHHHH
I find funny how the owner says that there’s nothing like it and then he says he sees it in a magazine with the box priced 5500. 😂
Risky Rick.
Guy looks like he dont give a dam about the toy history, his like just give me an offer so I could get on my way
only in america you could call toys "history"... maybe a trip here in italy to watch what is really history lol
The USA is older than Italy.
Well I got a lot of old coins since the 80s
the guy he bought it from probably had a stoke when he saw the episode
