I think for me Alexandra is so relatable because finally there is a role model that is close in age to myself. I remember for so long the people I knew always seemed to have role models who were decades older than themselves and I didn't understand and was never able to relate. Maybe it's because I'm older now. What an amazing end that Alexandra placed upon this song (I am typing as I listen). I am 49 and she is 60. I think that's close enough. I love the what I would call 'classic Hollywood glamour' in her voice and manner mixed with who she is as an individual. This does not frighten me as it once did. And I really want to take her message with me during and as I read my way through her new book; to tell my story to someone who may not understand or agree rather than to an acquiescent audience.
