Try "Sometimes I Cry" live at the Bing Lounge... Just Chris and his guitar. Complete 🔥. Also, he does TN Whiskey with Justin Timberlake live at the 2015 CMA Awards and it's amazing. They do two songs (second song is Justin's "Drink You Away") so definitely react to both!! One of the best live performances I've ever seen especially on an awards show!!!

I have yet to see anyone hearing this for the first time (and their first time listening to country) that has not truly enjoyed it!!!! Chris Stapleton is SPECTACULAR!!!! He is absolutely COUNTRY!!!! Check out the live performance at Austin City!!!! Even better!! In 2021 he won Country Music Awards for male vocalist of the year, album of the year, single of the year and song of the year!! 🎵🎼🎶🎸🎹🎙🥁🤘🤘🤘

Would second this suggestion. Personally...COLD may be my favorite Stapleton song. The CMA live version is the one to watch. I find his live performances "better". There's something that is not captured in a studio!

"You are My Sunshine" duet with his wife is some of the best vocals I heard in a long time. He is and his wife are always better live, but the studio version of You are my Sunshine is really quite amazing.
Nice reaction. You definitely need more Chris Stapleton! (Check out the Live at Austin City Limits version of this song where he's singing it with his wife. It's a different vibe and they're so cute with their flirty little glances at each other. ❤) Chris is almost always better live - don't get me wrong, his studio stuff is wonderful, but it's a little too clean or something. His live stuff has that certain something extra. (The two exceptions are Fire Away, which has an official video that supports an underlying message of mental health awareness and Death Row has supporting musical nuances that are mixed beautifully in the studio and sometimes get lost in live performances.)
I would go with 'Cold' live at the 2021 CMAs next for a glimpse into his powerhouse vocals. He's considered country, but there is no musical box to put this man in. He has over 170 writing/co-writing credits to his name, many of those are number one hits for other artists. He has a duet with H.E.R., P!NK, Kelly Clarkson, Tom Morello, Justin Timberlake, Jennifer Hudson, a trio with him, Ed Sheeran and Bruno Mars, made the Metallica anniversary album, 'The Blacklist' with his cover of, 'Nothing Else Matters'.... his accomplishments and projects just go on and on. Kind of like me. Lol. Also one of his big blues musical influences is Etta James. I'll stop now. I'm a fan, in case you can't tell. 😉 Even the hat in my profile picture is a girly version inspired by him. 🤠

Pick anything. Chris Stapleton could sing the phone book and I would listen raptly. I strongly suggest you find live performances rather than stuff from the studio. Chris has a tiny little rasp in his singing voice that the studio tends to smooth out. He's a bunch of fun live though. Try:
