Being so loaded and luxurious I'm surprised that it doesn't have push button start and only costs 58k. But still, second best pickup truck in the world!
Quick question, what exactly do they aim for with the Tundra after each annual model comes out? It seems they don't put any significant improvement on the MPG. If they did! This truck would rule them all!
Toyota is long overdue for a new engine on the Tundra. The 5.7L V8 hasn't changed at all. Seems like it's only cosmetics appearance that Toyota has been changing. Perhaps they'll port over the same kind of engine technology as the 2016 Tacoma.
+Carlos Merino (MrGuanaco) Actually the 5.7L V8 3UR-FE was introduced in 2007, the beginning of the 2Generation Tundra, 2013 was purely a cosmetic change to the body. Toyota needs to update the Tundra inside and out. But it's still a good looking truck, reliable as usual. Just a gas guzzler lol
+Gabez82 No kidding! I needa go test drive a tundra and ask them if they plan on changin it anytime soon. I do about $60 a week. And since I'm in Cali, it ain't helping either.
Mr Guanaco personally I don’t think they need to do anything to the engine except improve the gas mileage. Got 115k on my ‘12 and I’m starting to look again, but those Fords are catching my eye. Love love Toyota products, but push button start, keyless entry, Updated infotainment, are a MUST on the new ‘19 which is what I’ll be looking at. If not, I might grab be a top of the line Ford. I’ll cry, but I’ll do it lol
New model needs an 8 speed transmission, apple/android carplay, and new safety features such as LDW and brake assist. With these features, the Tundra will keep up with the competition.
How is it a Platinum trim level (which is top of the line for Tundra) but doesn't have remote entry?! Hell a Chevy Sonic has remote entry with auto window down using the key fob. Wth!!
im a toyota guy but this tundra platinum compared to the f150 platinum their is no comparison. The F150 comes hard with tons of upgrades dont believe me go check it out. But durability might be a different issue i would choose toyota in that category. *PS that rear tv looks like it came out of the 90's look ugly as shit
My top Pickups in order: 1st - 1500 RAM / Tundra 2nd - 1500 Seirra 5.3L /1500 Silverado 5.3L 3rd - Nissan Titan. This is for daily use. the 2500/3500 of the RAM, Seirra and the Silverado are prior to be on the list for daily use because they are Heavy duties. And for sure.. FUCK FORD for eco boost. frigle pickups. they are too poor to be on my list. Who agree?
Guy you have low standards and need to raise the bar a little my friend. Sure when looking at other Japanese trucks Toyota is a lot better than Honda's minivan truck the Ridgeline, but this doesn't say much....I am not convinced with Nissan's new Titan XD, Toyota is even the best Japanese truck out there. All and all the best truck are AMERICAN not JAPANESE! Even a RAM, the worse American Truck beats out Toyota...
+Joshua Schwartz I think you my friend may need some research yourself. I watched this video because I'm in the market for a new Tundra. I would say it is a bit ridiculous to make a statement regarding either Toyota or Nissan as Japanese trucks. The statement "All and all the best truck are AMERICAN not JAPANESE!" is even the most concerning. You do understand that both the Tundra and the Titan are made here in AMERICA right? I can't say where for the Titan but Tundra's are built in Texas. The man in charge for the Tundra is AMERICAN as well. So that being said, I guess I don't understand how that screams "JAPANESE". Sure the Manufacturer is Toyota..... and I think the resale and reliability speak for themselves. You should do a little more research and check out the reliability of the 'Big 3'. I actually think it is a fact that part for part, Tundra's are more 'AMERICAN' as you call it than any of the 'Big 3'. Where are the parts manufactured for them?....... Most FORD parts are from Mexico, man that must sting huh? I think this applies for GM and RAM as well but not certain. Please do your research before you post uninformed, ridiculous comments like this. By the way.... I've had all three of the 'Big 3' and they don't compare.
Who, in their right mind, would pay $60K for a Toyota truck?? Especially one with such horrible MPG's?! These trucks are way too overpriced! Toyota is laughing all the way to the bank.
+elai314 Toyota giving discounts and rebates? Ha, good luck with that. The dealer told me they have "little room" for price adjustments. Needless to say, I moved on.
+Anthony Lopez don't know about the US, but up here in Canada toyota has to give DEEP discounts and rebates on Tundras because they can't compete with the big 3, over $12K off msrp is common, but for any other toyota model you are correct they rarely budge
+elai314 You might have a point with the Tundra.. I only checked out the Tacomas when I was at the dealer. They won't move on price. The more expensive Tundra might have more room for discounts though. They are pretty tough in California, seems like they don't cut us a break at all down here.
Worst gas mileage of any of the full size light duties, extremely inconvenient and outdated interior that, quite frankly, is very ugly, and does not look nearly as good as the f150, Silverado, or the ram. I understand that every manufacturer has its' loyal fans who will be faithful to their brand, but I just don't understand how these even sell when you look at any other truck out there. It simply can't compete in almost any way with the ford, Chevy, or ram.
Toyota builds the best trucks
truu
they build the most reliable and powerful trucks
yet acnt put a storage compartment under the back seat, or add a normal outlets to plug a laptop in with lol
Built in Texas...
Awesome tour video. You do a great job at showcasing the entire vehicle in a short period of time.
Damn, that's a nice truck and i'm usually a fan of sports cars. You could literally live in that car👍
I hate the beep beep chime
Tundra is the best truck
Can someone tell me what type/brand bull bar this is under the front bumper? Greatly appreciated
I'm going to get me one. almost done paying off my altima, and I'm going to save some more money and get this exact truck except white.
What's the diference between a tundra 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019?
The year they came off the assembly line
You had me at push button start!
I've have a 14 platinum but damn 58k I would go Denali
My dad has a 2015 5.7 tundra sr5 it's a beast
I'm looking to upgrade! This is a nice truck.
is trailer brake standard in 2016 model. I bought 2015 wish waited for 2016 given it has bigger gas tank.
Is that all stock
Hi Massey Toyota,
Can you tell me who makes the Blacked out grill and cool black low profile skid plate at the lower front half of the grill??
does the rear window still slide down... if so why didn't you show that
Whose idea was it to put the window sticker behind the heavily tinted rear window instead of the clear front passenger window?
you put it in the back, so when it's on a test drive, you can safely see out the passenger side window
+weirdshibainu
That makes sense but I've seen them placed on front windows as well. I guess some dealers put them where they want.
+J High yes....I sold cars for a year and having it on the passenger side window is dangerous and takes away from the flow of the test drive
Being so loaded and luxurious I'm surprised that it doesn't have push button start and only costs 58k. But still, second best pickup truck in the world!

+Gabez82 True that, it amazes me that the engine is still the same as the 2013 model. Shame to see no significant change even on the horsepower.

Is the truck lifted?? Also what is the biggest tire you can put on a stock tundra?
Can I keep this 2016 toyota tundra
Bad a** truck and good video!

Well narrated video. Very informative.

Can anyone tell me what material is used for the tundra body. is it steel or aluminum?
Steel
Good looking truck. But, not having keyless entry\start is a deal breaker nowadays.
Is this ThinkOutsideTheCube?
How is it a Platinum trim level (which is top of the line for Tundra) but doesn't have remote entry?! Hell a Chevy Sonic has remote entry with auto window down using the key fob. Wth!!
loved your video. Subscribed.
+Osama Ahmed Thank you!

Beautiful truck
Remote start but no remote unlock??
great presentation/speaker, but I dislike the aftermarket parts they put on this one
is that a wireless phone charger in the arm rest??? Seems it should've been mentioned in this video.
It was mentioned in the beginning of the video. Also it's 2016 I'm pretty damn sure everyone knows how a wireless charger works. If not google it.
+chris hanson I never asked how it works....sooo yeah. You should Google how to reply to comments!
+Jboog Da Good No, this particular Tundra had no wireless charging.
Toyota durability is all hype. I was waiting to sell my Toyota before I wrote this.
+Massey Toyota love yoyr vid bro subscribed
Wait! Remote start but needs a key to get in?
Only need a key, when it's already started.

Don't wear your class ring. Just doesn't look professional. Makes you look weird
Interior is far behind Chevy & Ford.
Ford and Chevy also have comfortable dealership chairs.. because you're going to be there a lot more often than Toyota
Will Power lol
Not Bad dam that roast
Not Bad im a ford fan but dammmmmm
Gunslinger 1 I think they suck next to a well equipped F-150, and I drive Silverado Z71 4X4.
Who, in their right mind, would pay $60K for a Toyota truck?? Especially one with such horrible MPG's?! These trucks are way too overpriced! Toyota is laughing all the way to the bank.
nobody, $60K is the msrp, pretty sure the price is a LOT lower after discounts and rebates

Finisher FFA they compete by being one of the most reliable trucks on the market.
I bet Toyota will outlast the shitt Chevy's and GMs!!!
Toyota is sucks!!! No diesel👎👎👎!!!! It's takes too much gas!
Get some English classes or go back to Serbia.
