There's something about the surreal and unusual design of the first room that really appeals to me. You'd normally never see a room designed in that way - the bed that covers the entire floor, the weird stairs up to the weird teddy bear room, the peeping hole - its such a unique space.

Joey and Garnt admitted that they also eventually started to do the same. It's not just them, a lot of TH-camrs outside of America eventually change their accent so that their international audience (especially the American audience) can understand and hear them better. Most peoples' accents tend to come out when they're back home or around other speakers (myself included, I have a country accent that I've learned to suppress so I don't sound dumb, but the moment I'm back south around family, it comes out heavy, lol).

Be cool to see what other establishments you can stay over night in. We've already seen capsules, a manga cafe (courtesy of Joey), the domes from JAJ series. What else is out there that provides more than just a room to stay in.
Mean it would probably be a good idea for these places to have them, and have the data erased after the cleaning staff come in that way any abusive or.. worse things that happen can be documented for the police

The room was ok and clean and the individual elements aren’t bad at all, it’s just a chaotic theme and design that was not at all restful. If they made the appliances and walls monochromatic and just left the LED as the main design it would have been actually good.

Given Japan has a cleaning culture. They would be swapping them out, rotate them with other ones from being cleaned or from storage per client/customer visit. I have family & friends who clean max stars hotels in general, it's no joke, everything has to scrubbed with a toothbrush, you'll be cleaning a room for up to 6 hours or more. So much a hair is left can leave you out of a contract. Can't imagine love hotels where their is more human contact.
@@asterizco That "hotel" is an extremely sleazy one and likely isn't particularly clean. The looks of the room also represent the quality and attention to detail of the owner. I have no question that they will clean the teddy bears and stuff properly if they see that it's been "used". Likely they have blue light lamps to check if the teddy bears were "soiled". Although no one can save the teddy bears from what they've seen with their eyes.

I once got chewed out in the comments if one of Chris' videos for saying so, but I stand by that even if you're not really there for "special times", staying overnight in a love hotel seems like a heck of a good deal. Imagine: Foreign tourist, getting off your transpacific flight, jetlagged all to hell, more than likely didn't sleep well on the flight so your bleary, half-conscious, and all you want is a quiet, dark, isolated room where you can rest, readjust your head, and recover, ready for your Japanese adventure. Love hotel ticks all of those boxes; don't have to interact with anybody, most instructions, even in Japanese, seem pretty intuitive (green for yes, red for no, etc.), you can get anything you need from food and drink to TH-cam and... It's discreet, it's largely isolated, yet it's mostly just off the main drags, so still easy to get to anything. All in all, seems like a pretty sweet deal. Heck yeah I'd spend my first night in Japan in a love hotel!

I've said something similar in Chris' video. Australian rooms are super expensive, trying to find somewhere you can just play dnd for a few hours can be a nightmare and cost an arm and a leg. That love hotel room is cheaper, have better facilities, are sound proofed, and in some ways, more spacious than what I ever could find. Granted, the average income of a Japanese person is much lower than ours, but I would've loved to have that option during high school, even just for a crew hang out.
I absolutely loved how much they were just messing around, taking the piss out of everything and just acting like kids eager to play with everything. Really enjoyable to watch, gave me a good laugh, and yet they somehow also made something of a legitimate review/informational video about love hotels in japan. Really well done lads and I'll be eagerly awaiting the following additions to the series!

Surprisingly the “worst love hotel” isn’t that bad haha. Definitely not as bad as the one that scarred Chris.
The room was ok and clean and the individual elements aren’t bad at all, it’s just a chaotic theme and design that was not at all restful. If they made the appliances and walls monochromatic and just left the LED as the main design it would have been actually good.
I’ve seen many worse regular hotel rooms in the US than that “bad” room, really not even close to the worst room I’ve seen.

Given Japan has a cleaning culture. They would be swapping them out, rotate them with other ones from being cleaned or from storage per client/customer visit. I have family & friends who clean max stars hotels in general, it's no joke, everything has to scrubbed with a toothbrush, you'll be cleaning a room for up to 6 hours or more. So much a hair is left can leave you out of a contract. Can't imagine love hotels where their is more human contact.

@@asterizco That "hotel" is an extremely sleazy one and likely isn't particularly clean. The looks of the room also represent the quality and attention to detail of the owner. I have no question that they will clean the teddy bears and stuff properly if they see that it's been "used". Likely they have blue light lamps to check if the teddy bears were "soiled". Although no one can save the teddy bears from what they've seen with their eyes.

I once got chewed out in the comments if one of Chris' videos for saying so, but I stand by that even if you're not really there for "special times", staying overnight in a love hotel seems like a heck of a good deal. Imagine: Foreign tourist, getting off your transpacific flight, jetlagged all to hell, more than likely didn't sleep well on the flight so your bleary, half-conscious, and all you want is a quiet, dark, isolated room where you can rest, readjust your head, and recover, ready for your Japanese adventure. Love hotel ticks all of those boxes; don't have to interact with anybody, most instructions, even in Japanese, seem pretty intuitive (green for yes, red for no, etc.), you can get anything you need from food and drink to TH-cam and... It's discreet, it's largely isolated, yet it's mostly just off the main drags, so still easy to get to anything. All in all, seems like a pretty sweet deal. Heck yeah I'd spend my first night in Japan in a love hotel!

I've said something similar in Chris' video. Australian rooms are super expensive, trying to find somewhere you can just play dnd for a few hours can be a nightmare and cost an arm and a leg.
That love hotel room is cheaper, have better facilities, are sound proofed, and in some ways, more spacious than what I ever could find. Granted, the average income of a Japanese person is much lower than ours, but I would've loved to have that option during high school, even just for a crew hang out.
