I am really enjoying this series, you have a very impressive collection!!! You have several Lesser combos , do you find it hurts the value any of your combos that have Lesser in them ? Are they any parings you avoid lesser in ? I also don’t recall seeing any spider , what are your feelings on breeding that Gene? Thanks man I’m glad you’re enjoying this series! I love the lesser/butter combos but if definitely matters what combo they are in because it’s going to add a lot of tans to your combo. I would avoid using it in any pairing that has another gene from the BEL complex to avoid making any blue eyed Lucy’s since you will have no idea what else is in it without shed testing or breeding unless your goal is to make a BEL from said pairing.
I have no spider in my collection anymore. I personally love spider and I don’t think there’s a problem with the gene, I’ve found if you breed spiders with no wobble the babies won’t have it either and it’s safe to do. The issue is the stigma that goes along with the gene because people don’t understand how it works. Any combo with spider will be valued significantly lower than the same combo without and they’re hard to sell.
Thanks for your advice, I just bought a Female spot nose lesser clown. So I was thinking keep all Bel stuff to only my females.
I love the spider gene and what it does , I just bought a proven breeder female banana enchi spider and I am conflicted if I should go ahead and breed her. She has very little to no wobble. I would be for sure be careful to holdback any of her offspring with spider. I have a very small collection, but I really am looking forward to grow it. I am not doing this as a business, but I don’t want snakes I can’t sell and have to keep and feed. Thanks for your advice!! I enjoy lesser and spider , but they get a lot of hate just like pastel.

Yeah man it’s really all about the combo with those, pastel included! I mean if you’re cool with sitting on them for a while it’s probably fine just be aware they are definitely harder to sell when they do need a new home!
