I have a question for anyone who might know. Is Hot Toys going to make the Mantis and Drax figures for Gurdians 3? I am a completionist and I hate it when Hot Toys only makes part of a team. Thanks ! It’s much appreciated. 😀. That’s a tough one Hot Toys does have a photo and RSVP for the GOTG team suit Drax & Mantis. They are getting better at completing teams but they are super unpredictable. Maybe they will get a regular release because the other team suit figures are selling well or maybe they will get a toy fair or summer exclusive release. Yeah, definitely a tough one.
What’s crazy is the Umbra Trooper is at Toy Sapiens in Japan just sitting on the shelf with plenty of them ready for purchase. He was about $100 more than the US MSRP but I didn’t have the cash. 😥
🤣. That always happens with me. I’ll just finish a custom and then a week later they announce a figure for the one I just made. You can’t go wrong with both of those figures. You can make 4 or more figures out of those 2 with some extra bodies and boots. 😎
Couldn’t agree with you more about the Hot Toys approach to the Umbra - and anything Artisan. It’s irritating as all get out. I’ve got something hairy they can kiss for their efforts
It’s total 🐂 💩. They should keep those exclusive figures as like Chrome painted or like that weird porcelain stormtrooper so not everyone will want one in their collection. Hot Toys and Hasbro are notorious for F’ing over collectors.
and yet people still buy from them. Not just their regular release but their timed exclusives. Its part of the game. I'm not a huge fan of it but some collectors really like it. The chase they say. The exclusives etc. Eh. Never was something I was into, but again some are into that. This isn't gonna stop until majority of collectors across the globe stop buying these timed exclusives and I am not holding my breathe waiting for that to happen. Oh sweet ! That ARC trooper is my favorite design. That figure is gonna skyrocket in price every day. I might grab a 6” one just so I can have a figure of him.
Custom headsculpts with similar rooting (not cheap doll hair) go for like $200+. $165 isn't bad. The pricing on all the sku's was much lower then I expected. Not bad. Wasn't something I was interested in but looked cool. Thanks for vid as always!
Thanks for watching ! He’s definitely not a bad deal for the Artisan version with custom heads at the prices they are and also getting a Jack figure off eBay is not cheap and they are using older technology.
depends on the dreads lol@@artofgarduno But seriously wool hair with sculpted dread? IMO I'd just pay the artisan price and have all the hair be wool implements including the dreads. That's just me though. I'm a bit surprised they did a mix of wool and sculpted hair version. Odd. Either all sculpted hair or wool rooted imo. And figures with multi skus have a tendency to sit but this is Hot Toys: the house that logic is banned. Edit: Actually the multi sku's tend to sit on SS. Cant confirm this is the same for HT's own stores.
