- Marci Lee Nilsen, PhD, RN, CHPN, FAAN speaks about advancing survivorship care through research.
Dr. Marci Lee Nilsen is an Assistant Professor at the University of Pittsburgh School of Nursing and Medicine. Dr. Nilsen co-founded and co-directs the UPMC Head and Neck Cancer Survivorship Clinic, which is recognized for its interprofessional, patient-centered program designed to address the multifaceted needs of head and neck cancer survivors. Her research program addresses treatment-related effects to improve the quality of life for survivors of head and neck cancer. Additionally, she leads efforts in developing innovative care delivery models to ensure that survivors have access to survivorship care of the highest quality. Dr. Nilsen received her BSN, MSN, and PhD from The University of Pittsburgh School of Nursing.
