my favorite part is the way you explain the learning process. When a beginner tries this and you watch it you can think of all the problems that may arise.
There's an easy knee bump sweep from that same over under. You would use the underhook side to hike him up as you pull down on the overhook side towards your knee that is right next to his knee laterally.
Basic but beautiful. This is the high percentage stuff that should be drilled until it's second nature. The pride in BJJ schools gets in the way of adopting wrestling takedowns and certain aspects of the top game. I love BJJ to death, but you could be in a sport school for years and never see this. You'd have to go to an mma school to get these wrestling takedowns and that should not be necessary. The BJJ practitioners who come from a wrestling background have so much to offer. If you're lucky enough to have one in your school, I'd recommend training with them outside of class and learn everything you can from them. It enhances your grappling astronomically.
You can call it that. I don’t use the term knee tap anymore because so many people use the name for many different takedowns and it becomes confusing for students. As an example... A lot of people call a “knee pick” a “knee tap”. Use the term you like, the technique is what’s most important.

This channel is so....so good

Love it. Going to use it against my beginner friends. Lol. Thanks Coach!
I 100% agree with you about the “what if’s” great video style
Coach B-my mind just exploded!!! Never realized the power of locking the hips together, thereby making the elbow easier to manipulate. Great stuff!
Coach your like the best thing ever!!, everything you do is awesome please keep making those videos they're really needed!!
Awesome that you show all these bonus details for us newbies! 👌
Coach we wanna see you in some grappling/wrestling sparing, just don't get injured 😂
Nice move, thanks! I've seen Fedor doing something similar in fights, just he grabbed his opponent's waist instead of their left leg.
That ending xD

I found this video very helpful. Thank you
Ótimo vídeo.
Good stuff. Tristar did a video on the Metzger a while back. I'd be interested in seeing your take on that too. Maybe some combos and stuff.

Hello coach
Coach, how about the Schultz choke?
Someday I will show it!
Coach! That takedown you showed in the beginning would be a kneetap right?
Yes, that is a knee tap
