I was a Switchman is Seattle back in the 60's and transfered to Tacoma Yard and the bug bit me to be a Brakeman. Traveled the whole Coast Division before it went under. Good times and I always loved it.
Funny how big cities spent millions removing trolley lines, thinking freeways, and expressways were the wave of the future, only to spend millions decades later building modern trolly/light rail lines, because of people being stuck in rush hour gridlock for hours on their way to, and from work between the downtown areas, and the suburbs, and the air pollution issues, caused by those wonderful modern freeways.
I dont mean to be off topic but does anyone know of a method to get back into an Instagram account?? I was dumb lost the password. I would appreciate any assistance you can offer me.

well, i got kicked out of the mlw shops/yard in milwaukee in 1978. there was a yellow fp45 there, along with a fp7(running) and mostly emds. my most memorable mlw shot, was new albany,in, a southbound as it is about to cross the ohio river. 4-sd40s,,,,,,,,,,1980
Interestingly, the narration script in this DVD version is tremendously different than what I saw in the VHS version of this program. For example, I heard in one segment "Seattle Union Station" in the VHS version. However in this edition I heard "Spokane Union Station" instead.
This is fascinating. Something I do find interesting though is the level of interest in the US railroads online seems a lot less than the UK, train spotting here whilst widely derided is a very popular hobby, and there's video footage of practically every mile of track on TH-cam, present and past.
Well geographically speaking it is a little easier to document every single rail line in the UK, than the US. Moreover, as you know, Americans moved past the railroads and on to automobiles. Most people of my generation or younger probably haven’t ridden a train outside of a museum.

Milw is,1 of my favorites and I wish they where still here.
