Why would you wish they could only speak English? Russian is a beautiful language, and it's a core part of their identity. If they came about in 2001 North America, singing songs about being gay, it would have made MUCH less of an impact (speaking as a gay person growing up in The States at that time), considering it was (and still is) MUCH more accepted to be gay there than in Russia (where people are still routinely killed en masse and denied legal protections for it).
