Completely enchanted by this place. Thanks. I grew up chasing waves on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. The geology looks very similar. Btw.. it seems like the perfect setup for world class waves though I can't find any information on it. I do however realize that the island is rightly reserved for its non-human inhabitants. Cheers

Seals "come in the winter time"? Where from?
Why did this island form here and no others did near here?
If you could, please speculate and reply why I care about this place. Is it the mystique of it all maybe?
Also, I've heard there are buildings and a lighthouse here. Is it ever inhabited by people at least sometimes?

The horses eat so much sand that they wear out their teeth, then they can’t chew, then they starve to death. The horses should not be on Sable island

I saw a few skulls while there and they all had their teeth, worn but still intact.

The horses should not be there, the environment is too harsh for horses. The have not enough to eat.

FYI they've been surviving there for 250 years and theres about 450 of them so bring a big boat
