I believe the L curve/spike can come youtube harvesting information about how people react to your videos. They force it down random people's throats until they have enough data, and drop the video once finished. Could be wrong, but I know that's a reason it can happen.

That horizontal line in analytics is brutal, videos should never totally flatline.

Yes! I'm always trying to improve my product quality as a newer channel and I'll get views, but then the plateau occurs. It can be concerning
