You are right. It's a different kind of humour than in "Norwegian Reggaeton". And it's not a cohesive story like "Valhallelujah", either. As far as I understood the lyrics, it's more a collection (a bricolage?) of puns regarding hardware-stores. Kinda silly, and simple, but very much Metal. That's the entire point. And musically it is simply fantastic - somehow more Manowar than Manowar themselves. Thanks for trying this though.
There are 2 different kind of "productions" of Nanowar: Generally they made 100+ songs with very low budget, and generally use "toon-graphic" video (Barbie milf princess, Vegan velociraptor...). Recently (last 3-4- years) they made real videoclips using hi-budget (Valhalleluya, Uranus, And then I noticed she was a gargoyle, Call of chtulu, Norwegian reggaetone...) But NEVER forget one pearl, recorded in Italy during Covid lock-down using theyr own webcam, Nanowar create "Sneeztem of a Yawn" :-)
Anche VAHALLELUJA è stato registrato "low cost" ...l'appartamento della scena con albero di Natale e bagno è stata realizzata nella casa di una parente del bassista Gatto Panceri 666/Edoardo Carlesi, la scena marina con la falesia credo sia della zona di Ostia Antica (Roma) e quella col Coro Gospel è stata fatta in una sala - teatro parrocchiale prestata da un prete amico della band. A me piace tanto BESTIE DI SEITAN...Inno di FEL e Giorgio Mastrota. Spero che presto vengano aggiunti i sottotitoli a queste ultime tre per la gioia degli stranieri.
I also love "Tooth fairy" from Nanowar of Steel. Just an animated video, but once again the topic is hilarious. If you enjoy high quality music combined with awesome video production that doesn't take itself so seriously, i would say Eskimo Callboy is a must watch. In case you didn't see anything from them, you're missing some crucial information from the last 2 years ;) I'd go in this order: - Hypa Hypa - Hypa Hypa cover from WBTBWB - We got the moves - Pump it And maybe something recent from WBTBWB. The lyrics are german though and they don't have a lot of "real" videos, but both music and lyrics are gold. WBTBWB - Das Album surely is my personal album of the year.
ironmonger is a pun on a bad translation of "ferramenta", wich correctly would be hardware clerk or hardware reseller (it work both for the actual worker and the store)

It's a bit more straightforward: Ironmonger is a false friend translation from italian, because ironmonger is the closest you can get to translate the italian way of saying "hardware store"/"hardware store clerk".
It's not a false friend, though. From The Wiki: "The term ironmonger as a supplier of consumer goods is still widely used in Great Britain, the US equivalent being 'hardware store'."
