i freaked out when I saw we would get new songs since it's honestly one of my favorite things about animal crossing. i thought we wouldn't get any new songs this game
A while back I made a head canon about how if K.K. had an actual music career and I divided his songs into albums, and in that head canon, I had an album of the new horizons songs, but it was only like 4 songs so I thought of those as the singles, and now that these are released its perfect.
One of my favorite things about getting new KK songs is just seeing what the album covers will look like. I love the varied art styles and aesthetics each one has

K.K. Loid(the last song, K.K. Robot synth)…they actually made a Vocaloid inspired song. I love it! Chillwave, Dub, Lovers, and Slack-key are my other favorites :3

K.K. Robot Synth is so vocaloid-y. First, i heard that the cover translates to K.K. Loid, like Vocaloid. Second, the music style is vocaloid-y. And third, if you think about it, vocaloids are literally robot synths (K.K. *Robot Synth*)
k.k. dub, k.k. lovers, and k.k. hop remind me a lot of some of the music from older games, just updated to be a little more modern. i really wish the hourly music was more like these

It’s easily my favorite in this bunch, and one of my favorites in the game period. It’s weird cause for some reason from the title and cover I just wasn’t expecting anything in particular from it. I guess I just like sad things, and it’s a bit sad in tone. haha
I love K.K. Dub. It sounds like hourly music from the first 3 games. And it perfectly captures the feeling of walking through a thick forest with tall trees and moss covering everything in sight. A small creek full of periwinkles, with a giant log hovering just over it, with a bush of edible berries nearby. A lovely place to take a break on your walk.
I love how K.K. Dub is slightly reminiscent of early animal crossing soundtracks. The reverby drums with the baseline sounds like it could be from the GameCube
I had a chillwave phase once, and when I saw that there was a chillwave song in the new song lineup here in the comment section, it was a pleasant surprise, haha. Also, K.K. Robot Synth is my favorite. It reminds me of older songs from sasakureUK or Wowaka.
Robo Synth, Chillwave, Bashment and Dub are some of my new favourites. Damn the new tracks are good! It’s about time we got something like Chillhop/Lofi as K.K. Songs.
