Am so glad I've lived my life when Lombardo, Sammy kaye, Russ Morgan etc music was popular. The days when music was music ,people were patriotic & decency was prevalent most everywhere. My how times have changed since I grew up. Sure do miss the good old days.
You probably dont care but does anyone know of a method to get back into an Instagram account..? I stupidly forgot my password. I would appreciate any help you can offer me.
@Theodore Omar i really appreciate your reply. I found the site thru google and im waiting for the hacking stuff now. Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
I had this album when i was a teenager in the ‘70s...I heard that sax section and fell in love with it...the romance continues lo these many moons later.
There were several great bands in the time period of 1930 to mid 50s. Some really unforgettable songs played by all of them but the Lombardo Orchestra had a certain sweetness that just made you feel calm no matter what. The sweetest music this side of heaven, fortunately was available to us. Hopefully future generations will find it true for them. Thanks for putting this on YT.
So glad to have found this today. I love Guy Lombardo and remember listening to him every New Year's Eve. He resembles my grandpa, who was Hungarian, so much! Thank you for sharing this beautiful music 🎶 the best ever in my opinion ❤️
Thank you for posting this. Some people may denounce the pops & cracks, I grew up with pops & cracks and I think once you get used to them they actually give the music some character. JB
My favourite Wireless personality on the SABC, Paddy O’Byrne used to preface the playing of a scratched record with ‘Imagine you’re listening to this sitting round a campfire’ I always do, and it enhances the experience further🤓

I so agree with you. Do people even know what decency and respect is anymore?

In the mess we all are in now this music is a time machine to escape to another time for a moment or two.
Yes! And that's exactly why I'm listening tonight! Trying to escape to a better time ❤️
