So you guys think his tempo changes aren't intentional? His time is good in the different sections. He plays with other musicians who would complain if he was playing tempos they didn't like. It's just their style choice to play it faster live. The dude can play.
🎉 Congratulations! 🎉 You are the 100,000,000th person to make this joke upon hearing a drummer use a cowbell! The universe can now officially retire this joke forever. It has made millions happy and now it’s time to go into the great joke book in the sky to join the chicken who crossed the road
Everyone commenting on how it's faster, and it is, but it sounds to me like the guitar and drums just aren't on rhythm with each other for the beginning sections. Am I wrong?
Have to agree on the drastic tempo change… I don’t mind them playing songs faster, Turnstile is a energetic band with intense songs. But if they’re gonna do that they shouldn’t start of the song as slow as they do here, it makes it feel unstable. I’ve noticed a similair thing when they do ”Don’t play”, they start of at a good fast tempo but as soon the groove comes in before the first verse it slows down waay to much, enough to drag your energy down. Dan is my favourite drummer and in my favourite band right now, but he would really benefit from using a clicktrack for these two songs at least.
He’s awesome and everything, but here for example he picks up speed big time after the hi hat intro. Click or not, pros shouldn’t be doing that. But yeah a click would fix it. I think they do use one on Holiday at least-with that clap during the chorus. He can’t lose the beat during that song.
keeps the energy. i’m pretty most bands play faster live because adrenaline. but having the beginning part slower and coming faster is more impactful sounding
I could agree about upping the speed on the hats in beginning loses groove thats how i felt watching the late night performance lol still enjoyed it but yeah noticed that
like comment and subscribe if you think daniel's back is ripped
One of the best drummers around. Glad to see Turnstile getting more "mainstream" recognition with the late night appearances.
tickets are too expensive for a softcore band. not digging
Not me distracted by Dan's muscles.
He’s a better drummer than me *and* he’s ripped.
I’m worthless lol
Late, Rizal.
For real
Definitely not me either
This song made me realize his drumming ability. Love the cowbell added in.
Thank you so much for this bro!
I died 5 times in this pit
This was such a sick show! I was on the floor level and can't wait to see them again.
sickkk this being the show i went to makes it even better !!

I think that the speed up in this song is 100% intentional
He heard the drumming on Life in your Glass world by Citizen and said "yeah, I can do that... I can do it better."
Not enough cowbell!!!🔥

Machine.
Finally💥
He ripped. But no hearing protection???
too deaf to matter at this point. dude is tiiight so he's obviously put in some hours
He does, slow it down to .5 speed before the breakdown, you can see transparent ones in his ear and I’d imagine the cable is tucked up into his hat.
hes wearing transparent ones i think
Nice sounding hi-hats man, what are they?
Probably zildjian k sweets, you can look it up on google "Daniel Fangs drum set kit list"
Awesome great music song. Rock. Drummer 🤘🔥🔥
Haven’t heard a drummer use cow bells since Brad Wilk of Ratm. Has this guy been working out or is that all from doing shows?
Lol yea he must lift a ton. Drums really don’t help build muscle
Shepherd's Chapel Network !!!!!!! Chapter by Chapter / Verse by Verse !!!!!!!
what is his workout program

People upstairs act like they were listening classical music
Yes!!!
I'm sure they do it WAY faster on purpose for the live show but it seems like just a little much on this song lol

What’s the point of counting it in if he’s jumping in so much faster? It’s sooo much faster than the album as well.
I think it’s just more of a mistake
@@MrCoolTre it’s always the same live I’ve noticed since my original reply.
@@ShawnxEdge oh. I see. Yeah, I don’t get that then

Not my tempo.
Man, it sounds so bad when he goes from the intro to the verse and changes tempo so drastically. The songs work better at slower tempos.
No it doesn’t it sounds amazing
I agree, I think this song works with the album tempo much better
Agreed
Same, I hate it when bands are sloppy with the tempo when playing live. Dudes gotta learn what a click track is.
Agreed, the drastic tempo change didn't sound great live. They should slow it down a bit
Too fast. It looses some much groove, i hate that. Slow down, kids, enjoy
