Everytime I go past Freeway Rigdge gate, it's locked, but vehicles are behind the fence. I wonder who is the keyholder?? Good decision not crossing the river alone.
@@dat1dsm It's locked with a clip that doesn't require a key. You just need to make sure to secure it after you go through. Just did this trail this past weekend and it was a a bit scary but so much fun. I started at mile marker R37.00 and made my way up through the gatekeeper, and turned right at the peak to take Black Gulch Road past Walker Cabin to Keysville. Awesome views but some crazy drops on one side.

freeway ridge isn't closed that gate is for live stock. You can open the gate if you close it.
